You and I are more than friends. We are like a really small gang. - Unknown——————————————————
~I'm Going To Miss These
Crazies~The other events went very well! I came second overall, Will first. You can't deny it, that guy has skill when it comes to cross country and mustangs. We all were sitting in the lobby, making sure everyone had each other's numbers. This was the last day of camp.
Will was late, he said he had something to do and hadn't showed. Emily had gotten me a gift for Promise, since she technically didn't have her own halter. It was a beautiful sky blue with shiny fake diamonds.
Luke laughed at Ben, "Do you need tissues?" He smirked. Ben hit him on the chest, "No, dude I'm not that soft," he pointed to Emily whose eyes shined in tears.
Will ran in out of breath, "Kiley, c-come this way." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me away. My buddies following closely behind. Will pulled me aside to my trailer. "You remember how you told me you wanted Atlantic Black?"
"Yeah..." I sighed. I really wanted to bring him home, but I never asked. He was such a character. "Well... I pulled a few strings. There," I pointed to my fourth stall window. I gave him an odd look. Ben had my phone on video.
I opened the window, not looking up as I pulled down the metal bars.
My eyes looking up to see a beautiful black face staring at me. I jumped, "Oh my gosh!!! Will!!" My jaw dropped, I ran to Will and squeezed the living daylights out of him.
"Your— welcome," He winced. I let him go, racing back to the trailer. Atlantic Black had a leather halter on, the nose saying my name on it.
I squealed, pulling everyone into a group hug. We all settled from the excitement, returning to reality.
"I've gotta go... my parents want me back in Louisiana by tomorrow," Luke sighed. Xavier nodded with them, they rode together. "Yeah I have to go as well, nice getting to know you all." They sighed, hanging their heads as they gave us one last hug.
"We have to head back to London, Kiley it's been amazing. To everyone it's been incredible," Emily pouted tears dripping from her eyes. "Time to soar like an eagle and sting like a bee. I'll send you some videos and pics Kiley," Ben groaned.
I looked to Samantha and Nathan who had just walked over here. "Back to Canada?" I guessed. Samantha nodded sighing deeply, Nathan just stayed silent. "Kiley, thanks for helping me, and saving CrastBolt and I." "Of course Samantha, that's what friends do," I smiled back pulling her into a hug.
I looked to Nathan after pulling away from Samantha. "Don't know you much and you're very hard to make talk. But, thanks for the pep talk and the other pep talk, and the animal help...." He just nodded.
I turned to Will, he smiled at me. I walked over to him. "I'm beating you next year. Thank you for Atlantic Black! And helping me out," I grinned. He nodded, "Of course, you'd be lost without me." "In your dreams." He laughed. I looked at all my best friends around me.
Remembering the game Will, Luke, and Xavier played. Remembering the movie night and how we woke in crazy positions.
I remembered the pond, how Nathan brought me back to camp. How my friends saved us from the wolves. The accidents with Samantha and how we overcame it. I recalled when my parents FaceTimed me and Ben stole my phone! I'm going to miss these people. They've truly changed me for the better I'd like to think.
We pulled into a group hug, Ben somehow had my phone and we all took a final picture before departing. I smiled at the horses. Promise was eating hay, Jack was rubbing his head on the metal rails, Amaya was eating her grain, and Atlantic Black curled his lip.
I chuckled, getting in my truck. As I pulled out of the driveway, I knew for one thing, I was never going to forget what happened this summer.__________________________________________________________________________________________
