           ~The First Event~

   Several days had passed since the wolf accident. Luckily I hadn't had another panic attack. May was fully aware of my doing when I fled into the forest, she hasn't mentioned bareback since.
  That I was eternally grateful for. "I'm going to freeze to death," Ben complained. "Thank the Lord, I don't know if I can take much more of you," Luke let out a relieved sigh.
  We were currently swimming in the pond, it was chilly since it had rained last night. "Oh shut up both of you," Emily scolded. Xavier was leaned against a tree, refusing to come in. He was in a shirt and trunks but didn't want to get wet. The poor, poor baby.
  "Where did Will go?" I asked, looking around. "Will Will ever return?" Luke jokes laughing. "That was terrible!" Hannah admitted. Luke turned to meet her gaze, his eyes blazing with amusement.
  "Oh really?" He cocked an eyebrow. She looked at me, unsure of what Luke was plotting. He went under, the muddy water concealing his body. "I'm going to die!" She yelled. Swimming ferociously to the shore.
  Xavier crouched at the edge of the pond, reaching for her hand. I struggled to silence a laugh as I saw Will creep up behind him. This will end well. I saw Samantha dry her hands in a towel and grab my phone to snap a picture.
  It happened all at once. Hannah grabbed Xavier's hand, Luke grabbed Hannah's waist, and Will pushed Xavier. I heard the snap of the camera and smiled satisfied as all four of them fell back into the pond.
  Samantha put my phone up and jumped in. "Will! What the heck man?" Xavier scowled, splashing Will. Will splashed him back, before swimming under the water.
  Xavier kept a keen eye on the surface of the water, to see nothing. Ben went under to try and snitch on Will. I felt a hand clasp around my ankle, causing my startled self, to kick and squirm.
  The hand immediately let go, a figure resurfacing beside me. With a bright smile on his face, Will laughed at my expression. As the rest of us joined in. We all looked up to see Clarissa jogging down the hill to us.
  When she reached us all she did was smile in amusement. "Good to know you've all become quite great friends. I'm here to tell you that the first event for the E.V.E.R. Tournament has been-" My obnoxious friends began interrupting her.
  "Cancelled?" Like smirked. "Oh no! I've been practicing so hard!" Emily sighed. "Dang it, I was getting to ride Will's horse too," Xavier complained. "Whatever, I just wanted to show off Tennis and beat Kiley," Will grinned staring at me.
  "The only thing that you'll be beating is your own shadow, Promise and I are going to leave you in the dust," I snapped right back at him. He nodded impressed. "CrastBolt has been working on jumps all school year!" Samantha threw her hands up.
  "Yeah I wanted to beat Emily!" Ben looked to his sister who punched him, "In your dreams, little bro." "Wait Emily's older than Ben? I didn't know that!" Hannah stated. Somehow we all nodded acknowledging her newfound fact.
  "Relax! It's not cancelled. It's been rescheduled from next week to tomorrow," she smiled.
  Just great, more terrifying pressure!!! I so need to call my parents tonight! "What's the first event?" Will asked politely. "Jumping, good luck. I'll be hoping the odds end in all your favors," she nodded to us before walking back to camp.
  "She has totally seen Hunger Games," Ben said shocked. "Clarissa... our head officer... has seen Hunger Games? Ben I'm never watching another movie you suggest!" Luke scowled.
  "What about the new Infinity War, or Spider-Man, or Captain Marvel coming out?" He whined. Luke glanced at Xavier, before looking back to Ben, "Alright those I gotta see, but everything else. Take the girls, they kinda remind me of teachers."
  Instead of letting him off with the combat I struck one his way, "Glad we give you the impression that we can boss you around." The girls giggled, as Luke rolled his eyes trying to find a loophole.
  "Plus Robin Hood is a must see!" Emily added. Ben looked at her in devastation, "Emily, say you didn't. Surely you didn't watch that without me?" She sighed, "Sorry but a girls gotta do what a girl wants to do." Xavier laughed seeing the daggers Ben sent her way.
