       ~Samantha's Hard Life~

Samantha looked ready to fall asleep and never wake up again. I walked in the dorm to see Nathan scowling at me. He looked from Samantha to me. "She's staying to make sure you don't die," Samantha explained.
Samantha dove on her bed, almost immediately falling asleep. I wasn't even going to bother to get Nathan to talk. I sat against the wall and leaned my head back on it.
I closed my eyes, thinking through Jack's new horse friends. "Why are you here?" Nathan snapped, hostility covering his tone.
"So you do talk... bummer," I said keeping my eyes shut. He repeated the question, although I couldn't see him I could feel him glaring at me.
"To help your cousin. She's exhausted, apparently you're a sleeping pain." I opened my eyes to find that he was in fact glaring at me. "It's not like I can control anything," he snapped.
"Yeah, but you can quit being a total jerk." He didn't reply. "Why do you have seizures anyway? Born with it or something?" I asked out of nowhere. "Dad had seizures, I happened to inherit them." I nodded, I guess that makes since.
"What about panic attacks?" He rolled his eyes, "Grandmother." I knew the panic attacks happened for another reason. Since you can't inherited them.. what was he trying to hide? "Nightmares?" "Hospital," he deadpanned. My eyes widened.
"Hospital?? Did you break your arm?" I guessed laughing. He shook his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "No, one of my seizures over lapped the safe time."
"By five minutes?" He laughed to himself, "Ten." My jaw dropped, I looked at him. He simply shrugged and laid back in bed.
Several hours had passed, I was having a dream.

"Kiley, I know you weren't expecting these results, but-"

I jumped awake, Nathan was sitting up in his bed having a panic attack. He was sweating and breathing rapidly. I remember going through an article Samantha had given me if he went into a panic attack.
"There is nothing to be afraid of, don't worry you're safe. It's only temporary and will be gone shortly," I tried to comfort him. He began to calm down, but then his breathing drastically changed speeding up.
"Do you have a horse?" I asked trying to get him to come back to the world. "Y-yes," he answered through sharp breaths.
"What's their name?" My voice rather soft. "Crow, h-he's a black Crillo gelding." I nodded. "What do you use Raven for?" "Endurance, h-e can run forever," he slowed his breathing.
"Sounds like a pretty horse," I added. "Yeah," he breathed. Ten minutes had gone by since his panic attack had started. I talked with him for another ten minutes, before his panic attack was finally over.
Nathan looked at me, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Thanks," was all he said, laying back on his bed falling to sleep.
I walked back over to the wall, going to sleep. Nathan didn't wake for another three hours. When he had briefly woken because of a nightmare but nothing more.
I was left back to my dream.
"I don't know if you already knew about your horse, but it's definitely unexpected..." the vet sighed. "Both of them, has a problem," he pointed to one of the horses, which I wasn't shown.
"This one is colicing, I'm assuming this is why you found the horse like the way you found it," I still wasn't shown a horse.
"I'll load the horse with antibiotics, and other severally needed shots. They'll be fine in a few weeks," he smiled.
"The other is rather a happy story, Ms. Tyler your other horse is-"

The dream vanished as Nathan groaned. I quickly stood up and looked at my phone's time. His muscles were stiffened, letting out small cries for air.
He was entangled in his sheets, I knew I needed to move him before he started jerking. I slowly dragged him off the bed, and onto an open space on the floor.
Nathan, began to jerk his arm bent as his body moved. I looked at the time, one minute. His face began to turn blue having trouble breathing. I quickly moved him on his side, as he began the shaking phase.
Two minutes. I watched him, helpless. He shook for another minute before falling limp. I gave him a pettied smile, before pulling him back on his bed.
I then went back to my spot, only this time laying down. Sleep overwhelming me. My dream never came back, I drifted off into a deep slumber.

                   ********

The next morning I woke up in a bed. I looked around, no one was in the room. I heard the door open and felt my heart rate increase.
Nathan appeared, he carried a tray of waffles, bacon, and eggs, along with milk. He placed them beside my bed's bedside table. I sat up, smelling the delicious food.
"This is for you," he nodded to me. I smiled, "I didn't know being nice was a possibility for you." He smirked, "Yeah whatever." He went to leave, "Nathan?" I asked.
He turned to face me. "What causes your panic attacks?" I asked. "Nothing you need to worry about," he said before leaving. I sighed, but didn't waste much time pondering over his attacks before diving into my food!!!
I finished in around twenty minutes, I ran to my dorm and changed. I proceeded to feed three horses. I was in the middle of walking to Promise's barn to feed her when I was stopped.
Samantha embraced me, "Thank you Kiley, so much! You have no idea how much I needed that rest." She nearly squeezed the insides out of me.
We pulled apart and I grinned at her, "Friends?" She nodded, "Friends."
