Lily's POV

There I was walking to Mr. Rhodes classroom at the other end of the school, and not the good end either, the other end was where all the "bad" kids lurked. It's probably where Brent hangs out to, I mean that is where all his so called friends hang out. All the drunks, druggies, partiers, the people who didn't give a damn about college or anything else after high school were there. That was where I didn't fit in, gladly I thought no one would care about showing up to detention so I wouldn't run into any of these people. They would be to bad to show up right?

Well I was wrong, very truly wrong. My heart stopped when I walked into class full of those same people. I saw a few shirtless guys with there feet up on the desks without a care, I turned to see the teacher who this messy classroom belonged to, the classroom had desks fallen on the floor, paper all over, the windows open with some kids sitting on the ledges. The teacher was sitting at his desk that was to the side, with his phone in his hands and his glasses at the tip of his nose that was held high. It looked like he was trying to figure his phone out without any care of the students in his classroom.

"I'm lily, this is detention right?" I asked Mr. Rhodes who didn't take his eyes off the his phone as I spoke

"Uh yeah I'll sign you in, just take a seat uh anywhere yeah" his attention was still on his phone which was getting really annoying right now

I turned my heels back to the rest of the classroom and looked around for a spot to sit, there were only three seats left of which one was flipped over on the floor. One was by the shirtless guys and the other by a girl who was wearing all black, even her lipstick and nail Polish was black. I hesitated my way over to the seat next to her and sat down hoping no one would notice me.

I eventually figured everybody was minding their business and the girl next to me wasn't willing to talk, so I set my head down on the desk and thought about the last two days.

I had to get through that Brandon was back, so I kept thinking of all the different situations that could come up. Brandon made it way easier by telling me to come stay with him, note the sarcasm. It bothered me that Brandon didn't question me telling him where I was living. I supposed he just thought I was with my aunt but it still doesn't make sense to me.

After the locker incidence me and Brent haven't really talked properly. I want to talk to Brandon and Brent whether to move out or not but it seems like Brandon has it all planned and Brent isn't even talking to me.

I heard a loud click and snap. I rose my head from the desk in a small groan to see what the matter was, I was starting to get sleepy in my thoughts as the noises distracted me.

I heard laughing and one of the desks being picked up from the floor. I decided it was just the kids in the room playing around and set my head back down.

"Lily?" I heard a familiar voice call out, I didn't recognize the voice until I lifted my head to see who called out to me

It was Jake, one of his eyebrows was raised, and he was sitting on the desk across from me with his foot on the chair.

"What are you doing here?"

"I got detention" I said stating the obvious

I smug smile crawled up his face which slowly turned into a smirk.

"What?" I asked completely annoyed by the way he was smirking at me

"So the goodie-goodie finally did something bad eh" he said with a amused expression

"W-wha... I'm not a goodie-goodie!" I defended, I could feel the blood rising to my cheeks, I quickly looked down at the floor

"Who's this" another voice joined in

I looked up at the guy and immediately fell into thought, he looked very familiar, but I just couldn't put my finger on it...

"This is-" Jake started

"Ashton!" I blurted loudly, I face palmed myself in my head, Jakes face was filled with confusion. I remembered from where I knew him, it was at the race when he saved me from the drunks.

"How do you know Ashton?"

"Oh it's the lovely lady from the race" Ashton smirked

"Uh yeah"

"Race?" I forgot jake wasn't at the race when "things" happened

"long story short, she owes me" Ashton spoke mischievously

My mouth fell open at the way he said that, I owe him? Normally people would go with a thanks but no Ashton wanted something else, which was the last thing I wanted now, to "hang out" with one of the bad boys of the school.

"Let's go out and have some fun"

"Um.. I don't kn-"

"Ok fine I'll even make it my treat, you can't say no to that"

"Fine, when" I mumbled under my breath

"Now"

"But we can't ditch detention" I heard jake snicker but I wasn't going to get in trouble just because Ashton was asking me, I'm not like the other girls who would die to even get his attention.

"Come on, do something bad for once, and it's not like I'm asking you to sleep with me, just hang out" he dropped a wink at me at the end and smiled, I still couldn't do it even if I hated being here I was surprised I was even considering it.

When I turned to him to decline I noticed he was looking at me the whole time and obviously knew my answer since he grabbed my wrist and led me towards the window.

"I really don't-"

"Don't say anything and come with me"

He jumped out the window and signaled me to do the same, I shook my head and he rolled his eyes. He put his hands on my hips and I immediately push them down and away, I nodded my head telling him I would do it myself and barely climbed through the window.

He held my hand in his fist and ran for a while before stopping. He took his keys out and pressed a button towards a red .....ok so I don't know much about cars but I knew enough to know that it was a sports car, and it looked expensive. I walked towards it in awe and touched it's hood with my hands sliding across it.

"Already impressed?" I looked up to see Ashton smirking at me. "You haven't seen anything yet"

I looked at him with my eyebrow raised and my arms crossed. He looked up at me and nod his head telling me to sit in the car.

"Where. Are. We. Going" I said not ready to get into the car until I know where we are going

"You. Will. Find. Out." he imitated me and chuckled

I gave him a I'm-serious-don't-make me-kill-you look and he rolled his eyes and lazily walked towards me and opened the passenger seat before literally pushing me in.

For the rest of the drive I folded my arms across my chest and refused to talk
