I pushed open the heavy wooden door that lead to my dorm, holding a hand over my face. Marcie probably wasn't home yet, but I didn't want any bystander to see me like that.

"Hey," A voice called from behind me.

Too late. I thought sourly, turning around to face the stranger. I half expected Matt to be standing there, begging for my forgiveness, but the other half of me knew that would never happen.

Instead, a medium height guy, around his early twenties, stood there, a worried expression plastered onto his face.

"Hey, are you alright?" He asked, starting to walk towards me. "My name's Jordan - and um..."

"I'm fine." I mumbled under my breath, pushing my auburn bangs out of my eyes. They were plastered there by my tears; it was a good thing that I didn't wear make-up. "A-are you lost?" I asked, forcing a smile, though I was pretty sure he knew it was fake.

"Yeah, kinda." He grinned, putting his arm behind his shoulder. "Well, uh, me and some friends." He added quickly, nodding towards the muted chatter and laughing that I could hear from the building lobby.

"This is the girl's doorms." I said, shrugging. "I guess you're looking for the guy's."

"Well, yeah, that and the bathrooms." He added, laughing. I don't understand why, but I blushed a little, and looked away. I had always been the shy one, hard to get to know, but in reality - I loved laughing. There wasn't many times in my life that I'd been that mad and just plain depressed.

Marcia was always the one to cheer me up, but this guy seemed to have the same effect.

I smiled, this time for real, and shuffled through my purse for a pen and paper. "Here, this is my phone number." I mumbled, scratching on a piece of paper. "The guy's dorms are in the other building and so are the bathrooms. After you get settled in, call me and I'll show you and your friends around." I said, handing him the paper. "I assume that you guys are new."

"Oh, yeah, we're just taking some classes since we're kinda busy."

Busy? I wonder what he means by that. I thought with a shrug, and grabbed my bag.

"Bye, uh... I didn't get your name!" He called from the end of the hallway.

"Maria! Maria Welsh!" I answered, smiling.

This guy brightened one of the worse days of my life. I wasn't ashamed to say that I was really looking foreword to meeting him again.

"Maria! Maria! OHHHHHH MARIA! YOU BROKE UP WITH A STUPID LOSER AND HE DESERVES TO DIIIIEEEEEEEEE!" Marcia yelled, cupping her hands around her mouth. She was laying on her bed, the bottom-bunk, and resting her feet on the top-bunk.

I smiled, wiping a fake tear from my eye. "Magical! Encore!" I clapped, wiggling around on the top bunk. "Alright little Marcia, go to bed." I murmured, patting her on the head.

Soon, she was already asleep, but I couldn't stop thinking about Jordan...
