Sorry for the long hiatus! x)
The snow had piled up since we left the hospital. Intricate snowflakes fell in a silent blur through the hospital parking lot. I smiled as the warmth of Ian's hand seeped into my palm, his fingers fit perfectly in between mine.
The drive back was silent since everyone else had already gone home, other than a few simple words.
"I have to leave at the end of the semester, we all do." Ian said nervously, flexing his hands on the stering wheel.
I swallowed the greif in my throat and frowned. "Why?"
"We're only here to take a few classes, to tell you the truth its just too exspensive. " Ian answered.
I nodded, looking at my hands. I had never had to worry about money, honestly. My family owned a business selling parts for motorcycles and the like, but I'd never been that snobby rich kid most people thought about when they heard money.
I was always the quiet one, always afraid of messing things up or saying something stupid. Marcia and these guys, I realized, were my gateway to opening myself up to the world.
My eyes traced Ian's face. "Were do you live?" It was a stalkerish question to ask, but I put it out there.
"LA; most of the time anyways." He studies me for a moment, before putting the car in park.
I could tell he was thinking, the wheels were definately turning, but I didn't say a word.
WARNING: horrible filler chapter. lol x)
