Part 2

Toni's POV
It had now been about a week since the south side started going to Riverdale high and i think it's safe to say that it has been a very unique experience. I mean for starters, Sweetpea and Fangs have gotten into multiple fights with the bulldogs, I've made a couple friends including Veronica and Betty which coincidently are best friends with Cheryl and lastly , the food here is ten times better than at my old school but that's for another time I guess. I honestly never thought I would like Cheryl when I laid my eyes on her but I must say, I've gotten used to her being around, considering the fact that she's pretty much best friends with Veronica and Betty and second of all, I have some of my classes with her including lab in which I'm partnered up with her. I've come to notice that she is actually , really beautiful. She has this bright hair that flows down her back and tumbled onto her shoulders, the prettiest and softest ivory skin I've personally ever seen and her eyes are this deep tone of brown mixed with hazel . It's breathtaking honestly. It's something I think about all the time believe it or not. Anyway today I had math class , which was one of my favorite classes because Cheryl was in it. Every time I'm with her I feel so insecure and everything turns to mush. My heart beats at a thousand miles per second and I feel the need to show myself as strong as I can. As I enter math class I stroll all the way to the back of the room , where I usually sit. Cheryl always sits in the row above mine, therefore allowing me to admire her even more. I sit down, throwing my bag on the floor not really caring about what was in it and I let myself fall back on my chair. I was unusually tired and didn't feel that well, but I shrugged it off and thought about something else. As I was playing with my pencil I saw Cheryl walk through the doors , she merely glanced at me and then looked off to someone else. I didn't think much of it and proceeded to concentrate on trying to spin my pencil on one finger. As the class started to fill up with students I could see Reggie and his other jock friends cascading into the room , they were all laughing and making fun of some girl probably, as if I cared. I could overhear them but wasn't exactly paying attention when all of a sudden , I hear the name Cheryl . I immediately look up and see that Reggie and his dumbass friends are mocking Cheryl. The Cheryl blossom. I looked over at Cheryl and I could see that she had noticed but wasn't reacting , which was odd because Cheryl always reacted , even when she didn't have to. So I stood up and walked over to them and said.
« Yeah um , if you guys don't mind can you stop fucking around with every single girl like she's your pray and just leave people alone »
I said that as I gulped and tried to seem strong in front of Cheryl
« Hey guys , do you hear something? Is that a mouse talking ? »
Reggie said and continued to burst out laughing causing the rest of his friends to do the same.
It was over-exaggerated.
They kept laughing and laughing at something that wasn't even funny and I could feel everyone glare at me. I then built up my courage, tightened my fist and threw the hardest punch I could aiming right for his nose. It all happened so quickly I don't even remember it but next thing I knew ; my hand was covered in blood and so was his nose . I mean sure, I had thrown a lot of punches before but never against someone in school.
I could tell that it must've hurt and as soon as I could actually realize what had happened , Reggie got back up and punched me in the face.
I could feel my vision getting blurry and I could hear Cheryl and a bunch of other kids scream out my name and a bunch of other stuff but I couldn't really keep up. My eyes were closing and shutting as well as my whole body and all I could do was watch. It was mortifying. I could hear the teacher finally enter the classroom and starting to yell and panic. Miss Johnson really was a sweatheart. The last thing I heard was her yelling out to call the nurse, and then , blank.
I woke up in the nurse's office I think about an hour later not remembering a thing of what happened. I turned on my side and saw Reggie right beside me with dried up blood all over his nose. It all came flowing back. I remembered punching him and him punching me and just me getting knocked out. I could hear faint noises coming from the outside of the office but as I turned over, to my surprise I saw Cheryl speaking with the nurse. I could make out what she was saying but I wasn't quite sure
«are you sure it's okay if she goes home with you?
-yes miss Peterson, her parents aren't here at the moment and I'm her best friend, she can just rest at my place
I was jaw slacked. Best friend? My parents not being here? I mean my parents were certainly not here but us being best friends ?
She must've been delusional or on some sort of drugs. I could then see Cheryl walk over to me and smile warmly. I looked up at her and i didn't really need to say anything as my face was speaking for me.
«So T.T, you're coming home with me!»
She said with the widest grin I've ever seen.
