Part 7

CHERYL'S POV:

2 weeks. It had been 2 entire weeks since I hadn't spoken to Toni and I was going nuts. It's like I can't be away from her for more than 1 hour before i go crazy. I'm guessing that she hasn't been taking it well at all, considering the fact that the reason for which I hadn't seen her for 2 weeks was because she hadn't been at school. I had asked Sweet Pea multiple times why she wasn't here , and the only response I got was the same one every time

"The reason for which Tiny isn't here is none of your business , just let her be"

I felt terrible honestly , I didn't know what to do. I wish I could go to her place but I had no idea how to even get to the south side , let alone trying to find her house. The truth was, I didn't expect her to react this bad , I mean Toni is the kind of tough girl that never shows herself as a weak person , she's alway strong and I had never even seen her cry until our encounter. That's what I liked about her, she never gave up, but this...this was a whole other level, Toni wouldn't even show her face. What was I supposed to do, this was all my fault , I broke her.

"Cheryl! Hey babe"

Oh and yeah , I kind of decided to go out with Archie , pretty much my coping mechanism
Before I even got the time to answer him , Archie grabbed me by my back and slammed me against the lockers, pressing his body against mine and connecting our lips. The taste of vodka slowly filled my mouth as he slipped his tongue through my lips, I could tell he had been drinking.

"Babe not now-

"Don't worry Cheryl, it's okay"

I immediately jerked up when I felt his hand move to my chest and put a huge amount of pressure against my breasts. I immediately pushed him away as I felt eyes settling on us
"Babe what the fuck, why'd you push me away"
I rolled my eyes at him and before I could even respond , I heard him mutter something under his breath

"Everyone is looking at us Cheryl , you can be
so fucking annoying"

He moved away from me and pushed pass everyone as he walked away.
Archie was really one of a kind, I could almost say that he was a fuckboy but it's normal right?

"Cheryl jesus are you okay? I saw what Archie tried to do and honestly that is NOT okay!"

"Veronica I'm fine, it's normal , we're dating"

I would see Veronica roll her eyes and sigh

"Cheryl , forcing someone to do something sexual without consent is not okay , dating or not, he shouldn't be aloud to do that"

It was now my turn to roll my eyes because of how over-protecting my best friend was, I didn't mind though , it made me feel...special

Now don't get me wrong, dating the jerk that was named Archie had nothing to do with the fact that I loved him , I just did it to make Toni jealous, clearly that didn't work out seeing as she hasn't even been to school.

I was getting meaner and meaner by the second and I couldn't stop it , once I started it was impossible to find an end to the fiasco that was my life.

I continued talking to Veronica and Betty even joined in as we all waited for the bell to ring, I really needed to stop arriving early at school.

Betty was talking about the last book she had read and I as trying to pay attention, I really was, but I just couldn't, it's like every word that came out of her mouth was taken and transformed into something irrelevant. I was just pleading with and a strand of my red hair , and that's when I saw her.

Riverdale High's doors burst open and all heads turned towards the prettiest pink haired girl I had ever seen , Toni Topaz.

I was so confused and I had so many questions, like why was she gone for so long? was she okay? Did she know that I was dating Archie? Did she still like me? Well I knew the answer to that one was no, but I mean it's still worth a shot.

Toni looked prettier than ever, her hair was half up into 2 space buns, letting the other half down, she looked so cute. She was wearing black ripped jeans and black see through top covering a black bra, she had a yellow and black flannel tied around her waist topped off with a plain necklace and earrings. Her makeup was amazingly done, even tho she didn't need any , and I could smell her sweet perfume from here.

It was at that moment that I realized how much I still loved her. How much I had missed her. I looked at her and I could feel my heart beat faster than ever, I would turn into putty and I could barely pronounce words.

That's how I knew I still loved Toni Topaz.

Even though I was mesmerized by her from across the hall, she didn't even glance at me, I could see her go over to Jughead , Sweet Pea and Fangs straight away , they all smiled and laughed when they saw her, I would've done the same.

"Someone's got a crush huh"

I immediately zapped back to reality as I heard that comment coming from Veronica'a mouth

"geez Veronica chill, I'm going out with Archie and I'm completely content with him , plus I'm not a lesbian , so no"

I knew that I was very sensitive to comments about my sexuality , I hated talking about it in public to other people

"Okay wow, someone slept on the wrong side of the bed, I'm just saying that you literally just stared at Toni for a good whole 7 minutes, I mean she's cute and all but maybe later?"

Betty laughed at what Veronica had just said , which implicated me to smack a smile on my face and let out a realistic laugh, but she was right, I did have a crush , and it wasn't on Archie Andrews that's for sure.

All of a sudden the bell rang and the halls filled with moving kids, heading towards their first class of the day.

"Come on Cheryl, we have maths class"

"Coming"

As I picked up my bag, I saw Toni heading my way along with Fangs , I had never prayed so hard for someone to bump into me, turns out , be careful what you wish for

"Ouch geez, watch out next time"

She looked at me with the darkest look I'd ever seen, her brows were furrowed and her mouth was stern, but her eyes, her eyes contained a sea of sadness.

"Oh um I'm so-

I didn't even have the time to finish my sentence before the south siders left, what had I done?
