Part 8

TONI'S POV:

Sometimes I wonder what life without Cheryl would be like, I mean she's made me the happiest I've ever been but also hurt me the most, it's confusing.

It had been at least a week or maybe two since I'd even step foot in that toxic school, there was no way I was going to face Cheryl in front of all those people, plus the last time I tried to talk to her I ended up drowning in my own tears, I'm pretty sure that was a big enough warning.

Honestly I probably would've continued to stay cooped up in my trailer and watch dumb tv shows with a billion seasons, sadly SweetPea finally got me to get off the couch and get my ass back to school before I failed all my classes.

It was now early Monday morning in front of Riverdale High's doors, and boy was I regretting this decision big time, SweatPea was going to owe me one.

I have a strong push on the school's doors and walked into the student-filled place. I could already spot my friends from across the hallway, as I started to walk over to them, i could feel all eyes on me. I could then see sweatpea smiling at me and waving his hand at me, I smiled back and hurried over to where him, Fangs and Jughead. I was curious about if Jughead ever got together with Betty anyway.

"YOOOOO TINYYYY! I'm so happy you're back!"

I could see SweetPea grinning from ear to ear, his eyes were sparkling and his black hair fell into his eyes in the messiest yet cutest way I'd ever seen.

Wait what, I wasn't falling for SweetPea, no way , never.

"Haha, hey Sweets! Fangs! It's been too long, and Jughead! I feel like it's been forever since I've seen you guys, I missed you guys so much!"

I couldn't help myself from smiling, seeing these guys made me so happy and genuinely put me in a good mood, I almost forgot I was at school...almost.

"Toni you have no idea what happened while you were gone; guess who is going out with Archie!"

"Um, Archie as in Archie the fuckboy?"

"Well yeah duh, the only Archie we all know"

I could see the excitement in their faces and I wondered why it was so important, i mean, who cared who went out with Archie Andrews

"Okay I cant take you're guessing, ITS CHERYL!"

Actually, I did care.

" What?? Cheryl? Cheryl blossom ? With ARCHIE?"

I could feel my heart drop as fast as I could finish my sentence, had she already moved on so fast? I couldn't-

"Yeah! Isn't it awesome that she finally found someone, I mean it's been since the 5th grade since she's gone out with someone"

At this point I barely even knew what to say, my mouth was dry and my eyes were watering, keep it in Toni, it's none of you're business who that girl goes out with anyway right? I mean you already knew she didn't like you so what's the big deal, you need to start thinking about yourself-

"Um Tiny? Are you okay? You haven't said anything since-

"I'm fine SweetPea, I'm just tired, I still need to get used to waking up this early, that's it."

I snapped right back at him without stuttering once. I wasn't really listening to him answer me , I could feel Cheryl stare at me from the other side of the hallway. I tried to catch a glimpse of her from the corner of my eye but I'm pretty sure it would've been too obvious. I mean from what I did see, Cheryl looked better than ever. Her red hair was let down and cascading down her shoulders, she was wearing her signature red lipstick to match her red dress that accentuated her curves perfectly.

"Okay well how was you're break from school?"

It was at this point when I realized that sweets was still talking to me, or at least trying to. I just blurted out something that probably didn't even make sense , who knows, I was too busy trying to admire the most beautiful thing in the world

"Oh um yeah, it was good, I watched lots of T.V and ate lots of food but yeah, it was good"

I'm almost positive i heard Jughead ask Fangs if I had smoked something before coming to school, the truth was, love was the only drug I was on.

"Oh well that's the bell, we better get going, you coming Toni?

I hadn't even hear the bell, that's how deep into my thoughts I was, if you were wondering.

"Mhm, coming"

I barely mumbled out a couple extra words to them before I started getting pushed and shoved by every single person at Riverdale High. That's when I noticed I was heading towards her, Cheryl Fucking Blossom. What was I going to do? Did she just expect us to go back to friends or were we not speaking anymore , I didn't know.

I saw her getting closer and closer, I could also see her better and for a moment , I just paused and took in how beautiful she was.

Okay it was inevitable, we were going to cross paths, for some weird reason i saw her going towards me even tho i would've sworn her class was the other way.

She was getting closer and closer, did she expect me to move over? Well if she did then she's wrong because no way I was moving for her.

Okay at this point I was really confused, she just kept getting closer and closer and then..

BAM

"Ouch geez watch out"

She had clearly bumped into me on purpose just to prove to me that she was better than me, I couldn't believe her! I glanced at her in the darkest way possible and walked away before she could even finish her sentence, she probably hated my guts by now anyway.

You know , the worst part isn't even the fact that she bumped into me , or that she was going out with Archie Andrews,not even the fact that she didn't come to say hi to me today. It's that not once did Cheryl come and check up on me during those 2 weeks where I was gone. Not even a text message , nothing, she didn't care and that's what broke me. She broke me so much and I hated her. I hated her because I still loved her.

I still loved her
