Today was the day! The day that you and Benedict were finding out whether you were going to be blessed with a little girl or a little boy.
Everything had be organised by Amanda and Martin, your's and Benedict's best friends and the godparents to your child. They were the only two that knew the sex of your baby.
"We're nearly ready!" Martin said. "I'm going to get the camera." He beamed as he went inside your house and you and Benedict followed Amanda into the garden. The garden had been lined with balloons, banners and your friends and family were all gathering around waiting to find out the sex of your baby. The baby that would be here in no time at all.
"Martin! Hurry up!" Amanda said as he came running out the camera. Amanda stood next to you, "Are you ready to find out?" She asked.
"Ready as I'll be." You told her.
"Okay. You guys. Close your eyes." She said as she held the confetti filled balloon above your heads. "Three. Two. ONE!" Everyone chanted as you heard the camera click, and eventually the pop of the balloon above your heads. You and Benedict opened your eyes in unison.
"Baby!" Benedict shouted, picking you up with glee. "We're having a (Girl/Boy)!" He beamed before placing you down and kissing you. Everyone came over and congratulated you and conversed about who guessed correctly and who didn't.
Benedict got onto his knees, coming face to your stomach. "I love you." He spoke to your stomach as you placed your hand on his head and ran it through his hair. "Now, you look after your mummy in there and when you're leaving okay? She's doing a very good job at keeping you safe and warm in there." He kissed your stomach before coming face to face with you. "I love you mummy." He smiled.
"I love you too."
