A thunderstorm raged across Camelot throughout the night, water pouring from the heavens whilst thunder crackled across the skies before lightning hit the ground. It was a bad storm that Merlyn knew nothing about from her position down in the Dragon's cavern. In Kilgharrah's prison, the weather did not reach them. Merlyn often visited the dragon, talking about everything and anything. At that moment in time Merlyn was sat upon the ground of the ledge to the cavern's entrance/exit, leaning against the wall talking with the dragon who was happy to see Merlyn again.

"So how many versions of me and Arthur have you met?" Merlyn questioned with intrigue. She had Galahad's book open on her leg and was once again streaming through the pages; the many images that showed herself and Arthur in various forms decorated the pages. It still baffled Merlyn to imagine that her and Arthur had lived so many lives each time fulfilling the same ancient prophecy. However, ever since Arthur had stopped fighting their relationship, the witch had become more curious about the legend that had already foretold their future which had led to Merlyn's intriguing questions with Kilgharrah.

"Many different my child" Kilgharrah replied with a scaly smile. The dragon enjoyed the fact that Merlyn loved to know about her own history and in turn his history – he had lived for many years had seen kingdoms rise and fall but Merlyn's presence was giving the dragon another reason to live. She was making him relive his life and was reminding him of what he was waiting for – Albion.

"What was the strangest?" Merlyn asked as she lifted her gaze from the yellowing pages. Kilgharrah chuckled as he ran through his long, joyous memories.

"Arthur was a young child who managed to lift a sword from a stone whilst you, my dear" Kilgharrah started though a laugh interrupted his words causing Merlyn to frown. What was he finding funny? "You were a doddery old man who often muddled your spells."

"What?!" Merlyn said in complete shock, her hands dropping to the rough ground. One: she had been a man, two: she had been "doddery", and three: she had muddled spells up – it was all insane.

"Yes, the battles between yourself and Mad Madam Mim were entertaining to say the least" Kilgharrah revealed still laughing his deep and soulful laugh. Merlyn groaned at the words. That sounded bad, she felt embarrassed even though it was her past life.

"Oh gods" Merlyn said as she burst out laughing. She couldn't imagine it. "I can –" Suddenly, a tug of magic pulled at both Merlyn and Kilgharrah, catching both their attentions moments before they heard thunder echo through the cavern. That shouldn't have happened. What was going on?

"What was that?" Merlyn questioned, she had noticed that Kilgharrah had looked to the skies as well, he had felt it and Merlyn had known.

"Magic happens all around us every day" Kilgharrah stated, though from his tone and narrowing eyes Merlyn realised that he knew more than he was saying,

"But I only pick up on it when its strong and important" Merlyn stated as she closed the book gently and stood to her feet in concern. Suddenly, a scream echoed through the castle and hit Merlyn and Kilgharrah full force, quickly the scream was flowed by the sound of smashing glass and crackling flames. Merlyn instantly recognised the voice. "Morgana?! I've got to go."

Grabbing the burning torch that had been at her side providing light, Merlyn gave the dragon a quick wave goodbye before she bolted it up the long staircase to the surface. Kilgharrah hated watching her go, he knew what was happening, he understood how the prophecy was finally taking shape and truth be told it scared the great beast. Quickly, he found himself projecting his thoughts to her concerned mind.

"Merlyn be careful."

The Lady's scream had caught everyone's attention and they had all flocked to her chambers in time to find one of Morgana's windows shattered and her curtain to be ablaze. The guards had quickly doused the fire out and gotten the Lady to safety. Merlyn had arrived on the scene just as Morgana was being escorted to Gaius' chambers. It hadn't taken long for the king and Arthur to have found out what had happened. They had all gathered in Morgana's chambers to assess the damage.
