~Brendon's POV~
My mom and dad nodded and shook her hand.
"Nice to meet you both." Olivia said.
"Same to you." My father replied. Olivia walked them into the kitchen and my mother pulled me aside.
"She's pretty, Brendon, but not as pretty as Sarah. I'd watch yourself."
I scoffed and walked into the kitchen to help Liv. We grabbed the food and placed it on the table. I pulled my fiance's chair out and sat down myself.
We all dug in and I could tell Liv was freaking out. I grabbed her hand under the table and began rubbing circles on it with my thumb in attempt to calm her down.
"So, how did you two meet?" My father questioned.
"I spotted her at a concert. She was beautiful and I couldn't stop thinking about her. She came back for autographs and I told her to meet me outside the arena. That's where I asked her out."
I smiled down at her and she met my gaze and blushed.
"Cute," my mother said, "I love your dress, Olivia."
"Thank you, ma'am. Let me clear your plates."
She grabbed everyone's plates and looked at me. I smiled and winked at her in reassurance. She walked back into the kitchen. I began to stand up.
"Son, she seems nice. I think she's a keeper." My father said.
"I disagree. She seems nice but watch out, please."
I nodded and rolled my eyes before going in to help Liv. I wrapped my hands around her waist and kissed her neck.
"You're doing fine, babe. They like you."
I felt her relax a little bit. She put the cake she baked earlier on a plate and walked back to the dining table.
"I made a raspberry cake with a cream cheese icing."
"Sounds delicious, darling." Mother replied. Olivia began cutting the cake and served everyone a slice. It was the most moist and flavorful cake I have had in my entire life.
"Best cake ever, babe." I said before kissing her on the cheek.
"Amazing, honey. You are really talented." Father said. My mother nodded and finished her slice. She could be a bitch sometimes.
"So, my wonderful mother and father, do we have your blessing?" I asked, breaking the silence.
My parents looked at each other and then back at us.
"Yes." My dad said.
I sighed a sigh of relief and I could tell Olivia was starting to get less anxious. We talked over coffee for the rest of the evening. At around ten, my parents decided to go home.
"Nice seeing you both." I said before hugging them.
"You too, son. Take good care of Olivia, she's a catch."
Liv blushed and shook his hand. My mother went over to her, gave her a hug, and whispered something in her ear before pulling away. I pretended not to notice.
"Bye!" My parents called before walking out the door. I shut the door once they left. Olivia was standing in the same spot as white as a ghost.
"Olivia? Are you alright?" I asked. She didn't move. I saw tears in her eyes.
"Liv, darling, what did she say?"
"She-she-she called me a wh-wh-whore!!" She yelled before bursting into tears. She began to collapse, but I caught her before she hit the ground. I pulled her close to me.
