~Olivia's POV~
"C'mon, Brendon! We have so much to do!"
It was currently December 11th. We had no shopping done, no decorations up, and the house was a mess. We let ourselves go for a few days...or weeks. The two of us just wanted to be together for a while, just to enjoy each other's company before the holidays really caused stress.
I was already feeling it.
Today I wanted to get Christmas lights up and start decorating the interior. Brendon, however, just wanted to lay around and drink. This wasn't going to fly.
"Brendon. I said let's go."
"Nah, we still have a couple of days."
"My sister will be home in less than a week! I want everything done before then so I can spend time with her."
"But Oliviaaaa." He whined.
"Don't. Sit up and get a move on." I said as I took his beer out of his hand.
"Hey!!! Give it back!!"
"You can have it after we get this house straightened up."
He groaned and sat up. I went into the kitchen and started to pour the beer down the sink.
"Stop! No! That's expensive stuff!!!"
"Then CLEAN!"
"Okay, okay!! Jesus."
He rolled his eyes and stood up, forcefully taking a glass off the table.
"Brendon. I am so close to slapping those glasses right off of your face."
"Lay one hand on me and I'm leaving."
"You wouldn't dare."
"Try me." He snapped. I flipped him off and ran upstairs. What the hell was wrong with him today?? I huffed and sat on the edge of the bed. I grabbed my phone and earbuds, reluctantly heading back towards the stairs. I swear, if I went down there and he wasn't cleaning, I'd sleep over Ashlynn's tonight.
I walked down the stairs slowly.
I jinxed it.
Sure enough, my boyfriend was laying across the couch with yet another beer in his hand.
"Are you KIDDING ME?!" I shouted. He snapped towards me.
"What do you mean??!"
"I TOLD you that I wanted you to clean!"
"Well you're not the boss of me! I can make my own choices!"
"You should at least listen to me! I can't make Christmas happen on my own!"
"We have so much time until that holiday even happens. I just want ONE more day of relaxation before everything hits!"
"I won't even be able to relax now!! There's so much to do and there's only thirteen days! My sister comes home in five! I really wanted her to have a perfect Christmas..It's been so hard...I just..." I sighed and sat down on the chair, covering my face with my hands.
"Olivia, love. Don't be upset. Doll, I didn't mean it." Brendon said and ran over to me. He reached his hand out to rub my back, but I pushed him away.
"Don't touch me. Please."
"Liv, I'm really sorry. I didn't know that Christmas meant so much to you. Just give me a chance to make it up. Hell, I'll do everything by myself and you can just relax. Trust me."
I looked up at him slowly. Brendon gave me a small smile and kissed me quickly.
"Can I help somehow?"
