Twenty-Three

Lisa's POV

I closed my eyes and thought how stupid I am. I should've ignored that stupid ant. Now, that I am lost, I don't know what to do. I have no idea that much about hunting and I don't know how to live in this forest. I need to find them, they must be looking for me. I groaned in annoyance.

"Lisa?"

I heard a voice, I opened my eyes groggily and looked where the voice came. "Hey, over here." The voice sounds familiar, I think I've heard it before.

I was startled when someone touched my shoulder. I looked behind to see who it was and my eyeballs almost popped when I saw the person.

"J-jennie!?" I exclaimed in disbelief. She scratched her nape before answering, "Uh, yeah, umm... yeah." She said while looking down. I stood up and brushed some grasses in my pants.

"Where are the others?"

"Where are the others?"

Our gaze met when we asked the same question at the same time. We looked away because of awkwardness. "Are you lost or something?" I asked, trying to act cool. She simply nodded. "Great! I am lost too!" I said sarcastically. "So? What are we gonna do?" Jennie asked and looked at me. "We have to find them." I said casually. "By the way, how did you get lost? Does your boyfriend didn't took care of you?" I asked and mumbled the last sentence. "Huh?" She asked with furrowed brows. "How did you get lost?" I asked again. "Oh, Namjoon and Taehyung had a little argument. I walked away with them then I realized I didn't know where I went." She explained while fidgeting her fingers. I nodded and scoffed. "Let's go now." I said and started to walk, she just followed me.

I stopped in my tracks when I remember I don't have anything with me, I turned to Jennie. "Umm, do you have something with you?" I asked awkwardly. "Yes, a swiss knife." She said and picked something in her pocket. I looked at her with widened eyes, "Swiss knife? Hey, Namjoon said we must not bring anything with us when the game starts!" I scoffed and furrowed my brows with my both hands in my waist. "I... uhh... It was from J-jungkook." She said and that made the atmosphere awkward. "He g-gave me this because incase I-i will n-need this." She added. I rolled my eyes, "Psh, so he's cheating? Well... you also did." I mumbled. "What are you saying?" She asked. "Uh, no, let's get going." I said and she handed the knife to me.

It was really awkward, I know I'm still a bit mad at her but I don't have any choice, It's only me and her. It'll be rude if I'll let her be on her own. I know that we're not in good terms but I still have conscience.

We searched for fruit bearing trees. Jennie had no skills in hunting, so I did the job.

"You're good in hunting, huh?" Jennie said. I was busy sharpening the tip of a slender wood that will serve as a spear. "I just observed what my members do." I replied. She nodded and we became silent. "What are we going to do now?" She asked. I stopped what I was doing and faced her. "We just need to find them, hunt and rest." I replied shortly and continued my business. "Where are we going to rest?" She asked again. I was getting annoyed by her asking some questions. "Can you just shut up and rest there? It's still early and we still have many things to do. Don't you ever approach me and tell me that you're tired." I sternly said with my cold tone. "O-okay, s-sorry." She replied and sat at the grasses.

When I saw that it's already sharpen, I stood up. I glanced at Jennie who's now sleeping.

She's still the Jennie I knew, she's still cute, still beautiful as ever and my feelings didn't change, I am still into her. I tried my best to unlove her but I just couldn't. I don't know what she did to me that I can't even stay mad or annoyed at her. She can make my heart melt just by staring at her.

I shook my thoughts away and sat beside her then gently tapped her shoulders. "Jennie, wake up." I said. She opened her eyes and stretched her arms. "What are we going to do now?" She asked, her eyes are half-opened. "We'll look for them." I said coldly. I stood up and offered my hand. She looked at it and was confused. "What? I guess you don't need my help." I retrieved my hand and started walking away. "Wait!" I heard Jennie shout but I just ignored it. "I said wait!" She held my arm. I glanced at her, "Let's just go." I coldly said.

"Namjoon!"

"Jisoo!"

"Chaeyoung!"

"Guys!"

"Taehyung!"

"Jungkook!"

"Seulgi!"

We yelled and yelled for hours but unfortunately, there's no sign of them. I heard my stomach growl. "Dammit." I mumbled. I turned to Jennie. "Are you hungry?" I asked. "Uhh... kinda... " She smiled awkwardly. "Let's eat?" I suggested and she nodded her head.

We headed towards the river. "I'll just catch some fish, wait there." I ordered and went to the water.

I was having a hard time cathing the fish, but still managed to catch few. Jennie was there, staring at me so I looked at her direction. "Wanna try?" I offered shyly. It seems like she was really interested in what I was doing. "H-huh?" She asked. I sighed, "Wanna catch some fish? Come here." I replied coldly. "But I-i don't know h-how to." She stuttered.

I face palmed myself. "Of course, it seems like you kinda want to do this too so I'm willing to teach you." I said annoyed. Well, it's just normal to teach her, I mean, it's just a friendly gesture and I don't want things to get awkward between us, she's a friend after all.

She stood up and walk towards me, I looked away and gulped. Geez, she's really sexy even when she walks. I got startled when she poked my side. "So?" She said and got the spear from my grip. "Just take a good t-timing at h-hitting the fish." I stuttered when she looked at me with those innocent eyes. She nodded and started to look for fishes.

Amazing, her posture is really good. Seems like she's a fast learner. I excused myself to build a fire. I picked up some woods and rub them against each other to ignite and make a fire.

The fire showed up and I took care of it. Jennie showed up with her fishes still attached to the spear. "I'm kinda hungry now." She shyly spoke and handed me the fishes. "Well, me too." I replied and started to cook the fishes, "Uh, Jen? Can you take care of this? I might burn them. I'll just make another spear for you." I said and looked for slender woods.

Jennie was cooking while me, I was making the spear. "Lisa?" I looked at her. "Yes?" I answered shortly. "Do you want to talk about us? What ha---"

"I don't want to talk about anything, save your explanations and you'll tell me them when I'm ready." I sternly said with cold tone. I saw her nod.

I am not ready to listen to her side, even though at the end she'll just explain it to me. It's just that I don't feel like listening yet, my heart and my mind doesn't want to. I want to take a break from her and also, this is not the right time and place to talk about that, not that we're lost. All I want to do is find them and leave this forest.

Minutes after, Jennie called me saying the food is done. We ate in silence, feeling the taste of the food. While eating, I stared at Jennie. For all I know, she is a good person, I don't believe that she really cheated on me on purpose, what if, right? That's why I don't judge her that much because I still haven't heard her side, she deserves to explain. I sighed, we'll come right there but  not now.
