"oh god kayla, why? why?!" i heard someone scream

i slowly opened my eyes and looked around.

where am i? what happened?

the room was white, nurses, doctors, my parents, jacob, kris, and kris' parents were surrounding me.

they all looked sad, their puffy red eyes were looking down at me.

"oh sweetie! i can't believe this is happening!" my mom sobbed and bent down to the side of the bed

"what's happening?" i asked her

"n-n-nothing" she stuttered

i knew something was wrong because everyone kept their gazes locked to my body.

but i shrugged it off.

tears were streaming down their faces. i turned my head and saw kris punching a wall and muttering 'i hate myself' a lot of times

"kris" i tried calling out.

but my voice was rusty. so it was impossible

i then turned my gaze back to jacob.

his eyes were puffy red. his nose is a cherry color. and tears were moving down his cheeks fast

"jacob. stop crying" i whispered to him

jacob's gaze met my eyes and he sent me a weak smile.

"hey sis. i'll stop, just for you. i love you. and i hope you know that" he told me. and more tears began to go down his cheeks

what is happening?

"why are you still crying? i'm alive jacob! you should be happy!" i screamed and then tears were starting to form in my eyes

"i love you" jacob said one last time and walked away with tears still streaming down his cheeks

why is he acting like i'm dead? i'm FUCKING ALIVE!

"sweetie. if you're here, just know that i love you so much. i can't believe something so tragic happened to you at such a young age" my dad spoke

i turned my head to face him. tears were slowly trailing down his face. i could tell he tried holding it in, but failed.

i couldn't help but cry in confusion.

"WHY ARE YOU G-G-GUYS CRYING?! I'M R-R-RIGHT HERE! ALIVE!" i screamed in between sobs

no one listened to me. they just kept crying

mom got up and wiped her tears away.

"kayla. honey. y-y-you..... d-d-died this m-m-morning at 12:56 am" mom told me in between sobs and back to bawling her eyes out

remember in 'in love with my bestfriend' i made a chapter when jake (kayla's dad) died by a car accident. i think? xD

kaylen (kayla's mom) could see ghosts. but kayla's dad can't. jacob could see ghosts as well, and he got that gift from his mom. and so did kayla!
