* 5 years later *

i got out my car and walked towards kayla's grave with a new bouquet of flowers in my hands.

once i reached her grave, i went down on my knees and put the flowers on top of her grave.

i looked at her gravestone that said 'in loving memory of kayla peter. 1998 - 2014'

"kayla.." i began

kayla's p.o.v

(kayla's spirit lol)

i sat next to kris and watched as he began to talk

"kayla.. it's been 5 years without you. i miss seeing that beautiful face of yours. i miss hearing you sing. i miss your voice. i miss your weird laughs. i miss waking up and seeing you next to me. i miss you" i watched as a tear rolled down his cheek

i gently put my hand on his shoulder.

i'm pretty sure he felt it because he jumped a little.

*kris chuckles* "it's good to know you're still here" he said

"i never left" i said. even though he couldn't hear me

back to kris' p.o.v

i stood up slowly and looked back down to kayla's grave.

"good bye kayla. i love you" i whispered

i turned my body and began walking away with tears pouring out.

i've always wanted to get married and have kids. but i imagined having it with kayla. but she's gone..

* 30 minutes later *

i went to the piano that was in my bedroom and began to tap the keys and sing along as i play.

(i changed some lyrics)

🎶lately i've been thinking. thinking bout we had. i know it was hard, it was all that we knew. yeah. yes i've been drinkin. to take all the pain away. i wish that i could give you what you deserve. cause nothing can never, every replace you. nothing can make me feel like you do. you know there's no one, i can relate to. no one can make me feel like you do.
