Walker Bait

Help

I ran towards the sound of the screaming.When i got there Carl was surrounded by walkers.I raised my gun aimed held my breath and fired i shot the first walker there was five more.I aimed held my breath and an arrow went threw its head.I looked over and Daryl was shooting them from the other side.When they all were dead carl ran up to me and hugged me.I hugged him back."Thank you"He whispered

"No problem"I looked at him he was still hugging me.I thought of him as my child.Its crazy i know.He let go."Weres the rest of the group?"

"I dont know"He said disappointed."Its ok"I said"We will find them"His hat had fallen off.I picked it up and put it on him.He smiled at me.Daryl started to walk away."Lets go"I told Carl.We walked Daryl was ahead."Weres your gun?"

"No ammo"I rememberd the ammo Daryl gave me."Here,didn't fit my shotgun"I handed him the ammo.He loaded his gun with the ammo."Your good with guns"

"Yea,your good with knives"We both laughed."Come on"We both ran to catch up to Daryl."Stay back"Daryl said.Me and Carl stopped.He loaded his crossbow and shot a squirrel.He picked it up and carried it."Carl!"We heard a voice call."Carl and I looked around no one was there."Carl!"He ran towards the direction that the voice was in.I ran after him.Daryl followed.When we got there it was Rick and Glenn.Carl hugged Rick It reminded me of my dad how i used to hug him when i got back from school everyday.

I was up all night again.Daryl was still sleeping next to me.I put my arm around him and rested my head on him and fell asleep.

When I woke up everyone was still asleep.I walked deeper in the woods and colloected some sticks and small logs and brought them back.I set up a fire pit.I pulled out matches from my pocket.I had gotten them from a house I raided before I met the group.I took out a match and swiped it across the side of the box and it caught on fire.I carefully lit the fire then put out the match.I had three matches left so I put them in my pocket.I sat down at the fire.A branch fell a few inches away from the fire and it caught on fire.Soon the tress caught on fire.I ran over and woke up Daryl."Daryl wake up!"He didn't move.I tapped him.He still didnt move.The smoke got thicker.I kicked him.It was no use I ran over to rick"Rick wake up!"He woke up with a startle."Whats going on?!"He yelled in panic."Fire!"I yelled.He got up and woke up Carl and Glenn."Daryl wont wake up!"I yelled.The fire was almost trapping us in."We got to go now!"Rick told me.I didn't want to leave Daryl.I would never forgive myself.But I didnt want to leave the group either.I had to think quick."Rick pick up Daryl!"Rick ran over to Daryl and lifted him up Glenn came over to help to."Beth go with Carl we will be right out!"Rick yelled over the sound of the burning noise.I grabbed Carl's arm and ran he followed next to me.We ran till we saw the smoke in the distance."Its going to be alright"I told Carl.We were now out of the woods and in a field.It was getting dark."Go to sleep,ill keep watch"Carl layed down and went to sleep.I sat up looking in the direction of the fire.I hope what i told Carl is true,I hope it will be alright.

Its been about two hours and no sign of them.Carl was still asleep.Did they run in a different direction?Did they not make it?I stared at the smoke.It was black that means the fire is still burning."Beth!Carl!"I heard daryl and rick calling for me and Carl.I didnt want to have to wake up Carl so i yelled "Rick!Daryl!"I saw Rick and Daryl run towards us.I got up."Weres Glenn?"I asked but i alredy knew the answer.He was dead.Because of me.He meant so much to maggie.Maby there together now.Maby.

I opened my eyes and Daryl and Rick were up.Rick was setting up animal traps with Daryl.I looked to my left and Carl was still sleeping.Daryl walked over to me and handed me a small bunny.I put it on the ground next to me and sat up.I wanted to save it for Carl.Daryl sat next to me."Daryl"He looked at me."I caused the fire"I admitted to him."It wasnt your fault"He said.I remember when he used to be a jerk to everyone.But he has changed,all of us did.
