I would have never imagined that I would be sitting here being interviewed by a police officer. One minute I was calling Jenny telling her to meet me at the hospital. Then in the next moment I'm being guided or rather forced into a police car and taken to the police station.

I was instantly escorted into a private room and asked to sit on the other side of the table to answer some questions.

Why I was being treated like a suspect was beyond me.

I stared at the British policeman with distaste as he tried his best to intimidate me, staring at me as he waited for his partner to join us in this room.

His partner soon joined us in the room. Holding a folder in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. As soon as he sat down, he slid the bottle over to me and surprisingly sent me a small smile.

If only his partner had the same attitude.

" Thanks for coming in Mrs Williams. My name is Lionell and this is my partner Gareth. We just want to ask you a few questions"

I nodded, It seems like this man is going to be more polite than grumpy Gareth to his left.

" What is your relationship with Theo Black?" He asked just after pressing the record on his phone. I titled my head to the side, confused at the question.

" Who?" I asked genuinely clueless about the name.

His partner scoffed at me. " Don't play dumb with us little girl"

First of all, Ew.

" Look I'm going to answer all your questions honestly but that name means nothing to me"

I waited as I saw them place a photograph in front of me. I leaned over and instantly recognised who they were referring to.

" How about now"

I nodded. " I've known him for about two days, I never caught a name," I told them, sitting back in my seat.

"I don't have a relationship with him. He's the brother of my swimming team captain, which is where I work"

Am I seriously a suspect?

" You've never had any problems with him, leading up to tonight"

I shook my head but Gareth scoffed yet again. "your students don't think that," the officer says as he places photographs of me and my students on the table.

I gripped the edge of the table with clear frustration. So much for trying to help out and do my diligence.

I couldn't help but feel angered by my students. I just hoped this wasn't out of anger at me for being their new coach. I was under the impression that they were giving me a chance to show them that I can be a good coach.

" We exchanged some words at the academy but that's all. I only saw him there tonight, I didn't even say a word to him and I would never bring him any harm" I don't know what indication they had, to pull me in for questioning. Surely they didn't think that I would cause any harm to anyone.

Didn't they already have the suspects?

They have nothing against me.

"We aren't accusing you, we're simply asking you questions to help with our investigation since 2 young boys were arrested, we need to make sure we're not missing anything out"

I didn't believe them in the slightest. This definitely could have been handled at the hospital or even my own home. Why bring me into the police station so late at night?
