I wasn't surprised when I started to have more vivid dreams of my past.

My grandfather was in every single one of them and it brought sad memories because I missed him like crazy and wanted desperately to have him back in my life even just for another day.

Work was becoming more interesting. The talk on whether I was fit to be their coach had stopped with more of them coming to me with questions and looking for advice. The students had their first trials for the championships, and I am extremely nervous, but I had to put on a smile and give them the confidence that they could win.

Michelle was working closely with them on their fitness but she had become quiet and spent most of her time with other members of staff.

I had noticed that she was spending time with Theo. Since she helped with the football teams fitness as well, she was working closely with their coach and Theo to keep them in form.

Tina hasn't noticed since she was too busy with our own training sessions and her one to one sessions with the students.

I decided not to think about them too much. Theo interested me and I wanted to find out more but I had to turn my focus onto my job and the students.

The trip back to campus was long, it took us 2 hours to get back. Scott and Jenny kept everyone awake with their general knowledge games which I will be honest. I was surprised at how clever some of these students were.

Today's performance was questionable, there was so much more work that needed to be done before they could even think about winning. I needed to discuss with Tina and Michelle on the next few weeks' schedule.

What I was able to see was the hunger and love that they all had for the competition. It inspired me to work harder and give them all a fighting chance.

Bryony and Scott were our best swimmers. Scott finished first in his freestyle swim and Bryony finished second. 6 of the students made it into the second round which I expected.

We came fourth in the relay which confirmed my predictions. Team work needed to improve. Some lost their cool and moaned a lot through the team's individual performances. That was not positive to see, but showed the passion that they had.

"What's next coach, we really sucked out there," Ben said as we walked back into the building so that they could grab their stuff. Normally we would have training this afternoon, but I think they deserved a rest.

"You didn't suck Ben, we just need to work on our form and like I said before we need to work on our teamwork," I told him referring back to when I told everyone to get to know each other and create bonds.

In sport, you can be selfish and go and work for yourself to come out with a win, but sport involves a lot of teamwork and relies on supporting each other. You always need to be surrounded by the best people, the ones that will support you know matter what.

He didn't say anything else as we reached the locker rooms.

I closed the door to my office. I needed to work on the next few weeks of training. Group training would need to be added in more than before and I think I might organise a trip. I would have to discuss that with Ryan first to be sure I can make that happen.

I have funds saved so money isn't really the problem but I was hoping that the academy would help me with that.

I heard a small knock on the door before Tina and Michelle walked inside.

I lifted my head to give them a smile, but anyone could see that it didn't reach my eyes. I was tired and needed a relaxing night tonight that's for sure.
