Jinyoung woke up happily as it was Saturday.
Finally, no Daehwi. No stress.
Until he remembered that he had to send in a weekly report to Brand New Music about his and Daehwi's current 'relationship'.
"Do I really have to make it a hundred-percent accurate? Daehwi's gonna kill me if I do."
He went downstairs to eat breakfast first. His parents were already there, so they had a little chat before he could go back to his room.
Once he was back in his room, he turned on his phone and went to the notes app to start writing whatever happened that week with Daehwi. He decided it would be better to not be overly specific with the events from the past week, and just put things like 'we are working on our relationship, so it's ambiguous on how I could describe it right now.'
He was able to finish it in a few minutes, as he didn't really take it seriously. He sent it to his laptop, and was about to send it to Brand New Music through email, until he realized that he didn't know their email.
"Who lets me send them emails without even telling me what their email is?!" He exclaimed to himself.
He immediately went on his phone to chat with his friends.
ass mart: hey guys do you know bnm's email?
son of music: how tf would i know
mommy finger where u: it's prob written on their twt or ig bio
ass mart: oh yea ofc why didn't i think of that
son of music: maybe daehwi's stupidity is influencing u
mommy finger where u: baejin are u starting on that weekly report thing??
ass mart: i alr finished it
son of music: typical baejin
I immediately went to Brand New Music's official Instagram, then saw their email and copied it on my laptop.
I sent the weekly report I've written for that week, then turned off my laptop afterwards.
So, I'll be doing that for how many weeks more? One, two— I give up.
•••••••••••
It's Thursday. School hasn't been too interesting for the past few days. Jinyoung's tuesday session with Daehwi wasn't interesting as well, since they were just sitting there for thirty minutes, not talking to each other at all.
But, things could change in a single day, right?
Classes have just ended and Jinyoug was currently with Daehwi once again for their thursday session.
He took out his notes and books to start reading and finalizing his notes, which he was writing in his notebook. He had lots of tests coming up the next day, which was why he was studying so hard at such an early hour.
He was about to turn the next page in his notebook, when he catched Daehwi staring at him. When Daehwi saw Jinyoung looking at him, he immediately turned away.
"What are you looking at?" He asked Jinyoung.
"You were staring at me..."
"Tsk, like I would stare at someone like you."
Jinyoung didn't reply, but instead, went back to studying. He was interrupted by Daehwi asking him a question.
"So... Woojin told me you give people notes for tests?"
"If they ask me to..."
"Well, I'm busy, and there's a science test tomorrow. Not that I'm asking help from you, but I just need some notes to confirm that whatever I know is correct. I do think I have a great memory, which is why I don't take notes or read textbooks. But, give me notes."
"Is it this topic?" Jinyoung took out a stack of notes for his science test tomorrow, and showed them to Daehwi.
"Idiot, go closer, I can't see it. Why are you even sitting so far away from me?"
Idiot, you told me to sit far away from you, Jinyoung thought.
Then, he stood up and sat down on the seat beside Daehwi's, showing him the notes he had.
"Yes, that's the topic."
He was about to take out his phone to take pictures of them, but Jinyoung took them back.
"It's messy..."
"Then, why is it messy?" Daehwi asked him.
"I wrote that on the spot while listening to the teacher."
"Then, make it not messy."
"That's what I'm doing."
"Ugh, I'll just take pictures of these, you're too slow," he took the notes in Jinyoung's hands and put them on top of his desk. He started taking pictures of everything, checking every now and then if he could read everything in each picture he took.
He gave Jinyoung's notes back afterwards, then opened his mouth. "So, what did they tell you at the company?"
"Well, you were there—"
"At first," he added.
Jinyoung looked at him, confused.
"Pfft, they wouldn't send you there just to ask you some preschool questions and pamper you with food." He looked away from him.
"But, I think I'm not supposed to tell anyone..."
"So, they did tell you something else."
"But—"
"Spill," he demanded, staring at his eyes intently, as if his eyes would tell him what he was hiding.
"Didn't they tell you?"
"No, they did not. So, just spill."
Jinyoung looked down to avoid eye contact, then shook his head.
"Ugh, you're impossible," Daehwi muttered to himself.
Jinyoung was about to go back to his seat, but was interrupted by Daehwi's voice once again.
"Wait," he took in a deep breath, looking a bit annoyed with what he was about to say. "I promise I won't tell anyone about it or that you told me."
"Really?"
"You may think that I'm this rude, selfish person, but I don't make promises I know I won't keep."
Jinyoung thought about it for a while, until he decided to just trust him on this as he sounded sincere about it.
"They told me to send in weekly reports about these sessions and our relationship."
Daehwi scoffed. "I knew it. I knew they would let you do something like this."
"Why?" Jinyoung mentally slapped himself, as he wasn't supposed to ask that simple one-word question out loud.
"Because, they don't trust me," he looked away from Jinyoung as he said this. "Honestly, who would?"
Well, that shit hurted, Jinyoung thought to himself. No, really it did, but- nevermind.
