Elizabeth was back at the meadow, watching the sunset across the water. The meadow stopped abruptly at a cliff, which wen straight down to the water. She had been so busy in the war that she hardly ever had time to come back here. She sighed. This place was one of the only areas in the human realm that she didn't have to hide her wings. She was miles away from any human villages.

As she was thinking that, a bag was shoved roughly over her head and handcuffs were chaining her hands together.

"Nice catch Sorren!" A deep voice said. "This one will bag us hundreds, no thousands of gold coins!" He said. Elizabeth's mind whirled. What? She was so far away from any human villages, but the energy these guys were giving off was definitely human. She yelped as her wings were roughly bound together. (kind of like lobster claws.) Tears started streaming down Elizabeth's face. I'm going to lose my wings. I'm going to die. She thought. Normally humans wouldn't be a problem, but these ones had managed to get magic sealing handcuffs.

Suddenly, the hands of the man who was securing her wings was jerked off her and she heard a yell.

"Who are you?"

"Let go of the princess." A dark growling voice said.

"P-princess?" The human stuttered.

"Yes, princess. She's the daughter of the supreme deity dimwit. Now get out of my sight." With that, there was a final scream and then the humans energy was gone. Elizabeth felt relief wash over her before she was yanked up and dragged.

From the salty smell, she guessed that she was being dangled over the ocean. No no no no no. Her wings are tied, her hands are cuffed, and she can't even see!

"I'll drop her." The human said, clearly trembling of fright.

"Fine, do it then." The boy who saved her said coldly. Elizabeth gasped. What? Wasn't this person saving her? And then she was plummeting, falling and falling, into the icy cold sea.

The sea never came. As the fell she was caught by something. It felt like two muscular arms. She curled into the body. It was so firm and warm, so there. She felt safe.

"Geesh, goddess, when will I have to stop saving you." A voice whispered into her ear. It was slightly playful, slightly warning. A flash of recognition burst through her.

"Meliodas." The burlap sack was yanked off of her head. She had expected Meliodas to drop her onto the meadow again, but he kept flying.

"Bingo," he chuckled. "You should really be more careful princess. Something could," he paused. "Happen to you." It sent shivers down her spine.

"Wouldn't you be delighted for the supreme deity's daughter to be killed?" She questioned, feeling slightly annoyed at him for trying to play the hero.

"No. You make things... interesting." He was still whispering into her ear, his breath making her shiver.

"Oh yeah?" She whispered back breathily. "How so?" He chuckled.

"You seem to be afraid of me, but not as afraid as others. You aren't as stuck up as any other goddess I've met either, and to top it all off, you seem to not like this war." He listed off.

"I feel like no one should like the war. It's terrible." Elizabeth answered, tears pooling in her eyes as she thought of the terrible things she's seen on the battlefield.

"No need to cry, your highness." He said, smirking.

"You're right." Elizabeth wiped away her tears with the hands that she hadn't even noticed were free. They flew in silence for a while before Elizabeth thought to ask; "Where are you taking me?"

"The gate to the goddess realm. That is where you live, is it not?" He asked, slightly teasing, but also serious.

"N-no, it is. But you can't get in, you're a-" she cut herself off, not wanting to sound rude to her savior.

"A demon?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. She nodded embarrassedly.

"I can just drop you off. Speaking of the goddess realm, looks like we're here." He said, nodding his head forward. He gracefully touched down on the shimmering bridge before the goddess realms gate and set her down, turning to leave.

"Wait, Meliodas!" Elizabeth grabbed his arm, and he looked at her incredulously. "Will we ever have another chance to talk?" She asked nervously. Her face was slightly flushed, probably just from embarrassment of being seen with him right?

"Hm." He grunted a little and looked up as if thinking. "I should count on it be princess." He smirked slightly, and then he was gone. Elizabeth turned around to look at the guards, who were staring at her like she was crazy.

"I was in trouble, he saved me." She said shortly.

"Yes, of course, your holiness." One of the guards said cautiously.

"Don't mention this to my mother." She said icily, before catching herself. Her eyes softened, and she could see the guards relax. "Please." And then she walked forward, back into the celestial realm.
