Chapter 10

"It's too hot" Alexis complained for the billionth time. Anna rolled her eyes and covered her eyes with her sunglasses, Russel was fanning himself with a battery-operated fan and Nick was lying down on the cool grass of the Bradley' s front lawn. It was a hot summer's day. And some people, like R.A.N(Russel, Anna,Alexis and Nick) were not as fortunate as 'The Marthas' to have a swimming OR AND an aircon at the same time.

"Curse you Martha, you and your irresponsible ways, causing pollution and torturing us with heat" Anna said clearly remembering yesterday.

~Yesterday Flashback~

"Hey Bradleys!" 'The Marthas' called out from Martha Denise's front yard.

"Yes Martha, Martha?"

"Let's play"

"Play what?" Alexis asked suspiciously, something didn't feel right, although with 'The Marthas' nothing EVER felt right.

"tennis, duh" Martha Denise said taking 2 tennis rackets and handing them to Anna & Alexis.

Anna and Alexis took it. Not wanting to be bested by 'The Marthas' at something they were good at.AGAIN. Those two would always find sneaky ways to win. At school, if it wasn't favoritism from the teacher, it was popularity, if not, wits, knowledge, fashion, taste whatever as long as they competed.

"Who's she?" Anna pointed out as a girl wearing a pink and black goth-like w/preppy dress and converse and blonde/black hair and pink hair extensions was approaching time just as they were about to start.

"My sister, Alyson Marice McBride" Martha Denise said with a look that said ' Why? Have a problem with it?'

"Who are the others?" Anna said referring to the albino-like skinned with light hazel hair and a right-brown skinned with large dark brown hair that looked messy.

"Fely Desales and Maria Bricks, Alyson's friends" Fely was the albino girl while Maria was the messy hair girl, Alexis thought wondering why they were here.

GAME STARTS

(A/N: I don't know how to make a tennis game match so. . .SORRY!)

What?! How was that even possible?! Who the hell was referring?! What kind of referee is there? The game's rigged!

Anna blurted the first,Alexis next, Anna then Alexis then both. All just stared at them. Apparently Alyson was the referee. Unknown to them, Fely and Maria were videoing the game and because of Alyson's unfair referring, they lost, and M's won. All caught on tape. Did I forget to mention it was on the STRATFORD NEWS and friends.connect.com on their profile on MY PROFILE NEWS, it's where they share their news on friends.connect.com , you just upload the news and computerize it and it's posted on the web on the friends.connect.com newspaper FOR ALL to see. There are 3 friends.connect- the socialization, where you make an account just to socialize with friends. - the gamers, where you can play in an online world like neopets and clubpenguin. - the sogame, where they choose both. R.A.N chose the 3rd option.

It was embarassing. To say the least. That they had been humiliated by 12 yr.olds , Alyson,Fely and maria are 12 apparently. It was horrible for Anna and not so much for Alexis. Imagine 4 yrs. younger than Anna and they humiliated her! Good for Alexis, only a year.

~Flashback Ends~

"Get over it" Russel said wiping his sweat with a towel.

"Hey" Nick said jumping up from the grass

"What?"

"Care for a swim?" Nick said with a sly smile

"Why?" Anna said remembering the time when she nearly drowned when she was 4.

"What are you thinking about?" Alexis said picturing her and Christian on the beach.

"How can we swim? There's no beach here" Russel said and at the word 'beach' they all got what Nick meant.

Nick, seeing the understanding in their faces stood up and said,

"We're going to the beach and yes, Justin,Christian,Caitlyn and Dana are going there"

"How do you know?" Russel asked suspiciously with a raised eyebrow

"Because we exchanged numbers"
