The party started to wind down as you yawned and rested your head against Hyung-Sik. The last people were starting to exit the room, waving as they did, soon leaving just you, your fiancé, and the BTS men. Of course they would be the very last ones to leave.

“Ji-hyo are you ready to go?”

Nodding, another yawn left you as you stood up and grabbed your purse. You watched as he shook hands with Taehyung and Namjoon, giving them a hug when he did. Yoongi kept his distance a little, his hands behind his back and his eyes looking around, trying not to make eye contact with either you or Hyung-Sik.

“Ji-hyo?”

Namjoon smiled at you, holding out his hand to congratulate you. Taking it, you shook his hand before doing the same to Taehyung.

“Hyung-sik told us you were looking for a make-up artist job.”

“Yeah, I have been looking at a few companies. I am guessing he told you I can’t be an artist with his agency anymore. They prefer if his soon to be wife wasn’t working with him.” you said, rolling your eyes over the situation. You could see their point a little bit, because it could be distracting to his work or if you had any arguments it could carry into your work, but that would never happen to you both.

“Well why not come and work with our company. I already messaged Bang Pdnim and asked if you could, explaining you are engaged so it should be okay. You know he doesn’t hire single women to work closely with us.” Namjoon explained.

“Really? Thank you!” you asked, surprised that they would over you a job. Shaking Namjoon’s hand again, you jumped and put your arms around Hyung-Sik’s neck.

“Congratulations baby.” he said, wrapping his arms around your waist, picking you up.

“Noona, it will be so great working with you!” Taehyung exclaimed as he hugged you and Hyung-Sik together, which made Namjoon pull him back by his collar.

“Yeah, congrats Ji-hyo.” Yoongi muttered, looking at you briefly, before making his way out of the room. “I am going to wait in the car. Don’t take forever.”

Before you could say anything, Yoongi left and there was an uncomfortable silence in the air. Sighing, I just thanked Namjoon and Taehyung and told them I would see them at the company later in the week, before they followed Yoongi out.

“Can we go to your place now?I am really tired and my feet are killing me” you asked Hyung-Sik, taking his hand. Kissing the back of your hand he nodded and led you to the car. As you got in, you heard his phone ring and him answer it. You take off your shoes and breathe a sigh of relief that the night is finally over and you can just rest with your love for the rest of the night. Getting into the car, Hyung-Sik hangs up the phone and sighed.

“Ji-hyo, I am going to have to leave early in the morning. The pushed up the schedule for filming and they need me to be in Japan tomorrow for about a week.”

Biting my lip, I held back my tears and nodded a little. I didn’t say anything. There was no point. I knew about schedules and things like that and how unpredictable they could be especially when you are a famous actor. Feeling his hand on my thigh, he squeezed gently and smiled.

“I will come back as soon as I can, then we can finalize the wedding details and get married next month when this drama is over.”

“Sure.”

Kissing my cheek, he drove me back to my apartment and you got out without saying  word. He could just sit and let you go, his car disappearing into the night without even a hesitation of turning back.

Once you were back in your apartment, the dress came off, you took a shower and got into a pair of shorts and a shirt before climbing into bed, still frustrated.

You really thought this was going to be a wonderful night but between Hyung-Sik’s work and the unexpected appearance of Yoongi, you were just emotionally exhausted about everything.

Closing your eyes, you just wanted to forget everything and dream about your upcoming wedding, but in the end it didn’t happen like that. Your thoughts just went to Yoongi. Seeing him brought back memories of how of when you were friends and all it did was make you cry into your pillow.
Not seeing him for three years made it easy to ignore he was ever in your life, but seeing him and now knowing you were going to work with him made you realize that you actually missed him all this time.

He was your first love, after all.
