The day after the party, you awoke to a text from Hyung-Sik saying he loved you, hope you enjoyed your new job, and that he would see you soon. Throwing your phone on the chair next to your bed, you decided to just get ready to go to Big Hit and focus on your new job. If he can put his job first, then why couldn’t you?Slipping on a pair of tight fitting black pants, a white button down sheer top with a black camisole underneath, and a long black cardigan, you put your long jet black hair into a ponytail and fixed your makeup. Taking a final look in the mirror, you bit your lip wondering if you should change your top, but shaking your head you decide you have no time and pull on your black heels, leaving your apartment, making sure you grabbed your phone on the way out.
Once you made it to Big Hit, you went directly to the front desk informing them of why you were there. Nodding, the receptionist took you to the practice studio where BTS was performing. The supervisor of the wardrobe and makeup was observing them practice, so you just needed to wait until they were finished.
Crossing your arms, you watched them practice, your eyes noticing how precise and synchronized their movements were. It was truly amazing to watch in person and up close again, you really missed it since you and Yoongi stopped being friends. You used to be up front at all of their performances, the others never knowing you were close to Yoongi or that you were even there, but Yoongi knew and that was enough. All you wanted to be was a supportive friend, and you really thought that is what he wanted to be to you, but you were wrong.
Then you heard him. His rapping skills taking over the dancing and the singing the others were doing. The way his words moved so smoothly from him was just as you remembered it. You remembered how he used to stumble over words when he used to rap, progressively getting better, but now he was on a whole different level. In that amazement, you really couldn’t help but stare at him, your eyes fixated on his every move until the song was over.
“Ji-hyo noona!”
“Hmm?”
You eyes ripped away from Yoongi and to Taehyung who was walking towards you with Namjoon close behind. Waving a little, you met them halfway and smiled.
“Hey you all looked great.”
“Thanks.” they all said in unison as they waved over the other members to come and meet you. One by one they introduced themselves, even though you already knew their names. Yoongi remained in the back, letting the others greet you, while he just watched.
“Did you know that Yoongi hyung knows her?” Taehyung asked the others. “I didn’t know he had a friend who was a girl.”
“That’s because I don’t tell you anything, brat.” Yoongi said as he pushed Taehyung’s head.
“Wow Yoongi had a girlfriend?”
Hearing the word “girlfriend”, you blushed slightly and shook your head, your eyes narrowing a little at all of them.
“Let me make this clear. We have never...NEVER...dated.” I emphasized.
“Yeah, trust me it never happened.” Yoongi stated.
“Did you ever want to hyung?” Taehyung asked, teasing a little.
“No.”
Those words hurt your heart, but you didn’t know why. You knew he never liked you, or else he would had been there for you at the airport all those years ago. He didn’t care about you, or anyone but his career and his music. You loved him long ago, not the other way around.
Smiling to ignore the dull feeling in your heart, you put up your ring finger to show the ring with a diamond surrounded by tiny amethysts.
“That’s good, because I think I found the most perfect man in Hyung-Sik and I can’t imagine my life with anyone else.” you said as my eyes flared at Yoongi.
