A/N: Just a little something extra for you guys.
~~~~2nd POV~~~~
You ended the phone call with the police.
"So, what'd they say?" Yakko asked.
"They'd get right on it." You sighed with relief, "Not sure what that means, but it makes me feel better."
Yakko smiled, "I'm glad."
You sat back down in the computed chair next to him and leaned on his shoulder.
"I'm really glad you're here to help with my problems, Yakko."
He closed his eyes and leaned against you as well. "I'm glad we found you. It feels like I've known you my whole life, but it really hasn't been that long."
You nodded, closing your eyes along with him and remembering the day that you woke up in their water tower. Starved. Dehydrated. Drowsy. It wasn't the best of memories. The warners were more like a ray of light that had shined down upon your life.
This thought had warmed your body.
Yakko took his arm and slung it around Y/N's shoulder. Y/N sighed and melted into the hug. It may be the only time that she could get this close to Yakko. It's the first time ever, in fact.
"Thanks for helping me, Yakko. You've really been the most amazing thing that's happened to me. It may not seem like I think this, but you're the best person that I have ever met. You have all of the qualities that any good friend could have."
The word 'friend' struck Yakko in the heart. "Yeah. Y-you too." I guess that's just all he could ever be.
Then, something happened that Yakko would never believed he would ever experience. Y/N leaned in and pecked him on the cheek.
Y/N had given him playful kisses before to thank him for things, but this one felt different. More meaningful, if it was possible.
"Thanks." He said.
"For what?" You asked, curious.
"That."
You smiled, "I like you Yakko, you know that? You're a cool little dude."
"Like me?" He asked. His face grew warmer.
You realized what you had just said, "Yeah. I-I like you, I guess."
He smiled, finally able to rest easy, "Yeah, me too."~~~~~~~~
This was just a short thing I wanted to do before the next chapter. I hope you liked it! I love writing lovey-dovey type sh*t.
I may or may not continue this scene in the next chapter.
I was reading earlier chapters of this and I cringed at my own writing. I wrote with too much dialogue and not enough description. I'm trying to work on that, I guess.
(You may use my aesthetics, just please credit me. ^^)
