"Hey, Y/N?"
"Hm?"
Yakko sat up and twirled his chair around to face you. He stared into your eyes with determination. You knew there was some sort of speech coming. Whether it was good or bad, you were about to find out. Your hands became clammy and your stomach started to feel bubbly.
"You know, it feels like I've known you my whole life. That's because, well, you are my whole life."
Your face flushed with embarrassment.
"Normally when I'm faced with a girl as beautiful as you, I'd jump into their arms, hoping that they'd sweep me off my feet into a love life like some sort of romance writing on Wattpad. But you were different. You weren't disgusted by my kisses on the cheek when I first met you. You just brushed it off with a cute giggle."
You knew where he was getting with his long, cliché speech, but you wished that he would speed it up a bit. Not that you didn't like it, but you were a bit afraid that the speech would take a turn for the worse and he would reject you.
"But since that day, when me and my sibs took you in off of the street, I'll be honest, I fell for you. I fell hard."
He had taken your hands into his, pulling you closer to him. You looked into his eyes. He seemed on the verge of tears, as if one bad thing happened, it could send him into a crying mess.
"I've always wanted to ask you what you felt about me, but I was too nervous. But after you said that you liked me, my heart leaped into action and I couldn't help but truly express my feelings. I like you. A lot. In fact, I love you. Those couple of words aren't even enough to express what I feel for you."
He closed his eyes tightly and retracted his arms, covering his eyes. It was easy to tell that he was trying not to cry.
There was a long pause before you decided to speak.
"Is that really how you feel about me?" You grabbed his hands again, so he couldn't avoid your gaze any longer.
"I feel the same way about you, Yakko. I really do, and I'm glad that you told me."
You wiped his tears off of his face and cupped his cheek. You smiled at him, thinking of all of the wonderful things that you loved about him.
"I love you, Y/N."" He cried..
"I love you too."~~~~~~~~
A/N: I've rewritten this twice, and both times I really hated it. It seems so cliché. Don't worry though, this one is much better than the first one that I wrote out when I had no idea for a chapter plot.
And no, that title's not a joke. I intend for this chapter to be the last one. Though, per your request, I am going to write another Yakko x Reader sometime in the near future. When I do, I will write a small A/N chapter on here notifying you that it's out.
Oops! I didn't realize the time of night! It's almost midnight!
And with that, I bid you a short farewell. I hope to see you in my next book.
Your Author and Loving Friend,
Akemi
