-Joe-
Dianne and I had gotten an Uber back to the hotel. I had drank two pints of lager and Dianne had drank her gin and tonic and a small glass of wine. Neither of us were drunk, hardly even tipsy, so we were going to be okay in the morning. We both walked up to the hotel room and I unlocked the door. I turned on the TV and put it onto a random channel.
"Next up on top 20 cute moments of 2018 is from Strictly Come Dancing. A dance from one of this year's runners up is Joe and Dianne dancing to rainbow connection." The TV said. I looked over and grinned.
"We are on TV!" Dianne giggled.
"Oh my God! No way!" I laughed. She laughed more.
"We have been on TV every week for the past three months!" She kept laughing. I chuckled and held my hands out to her.
"M'lady. Can I have this dance?" I grinned as she held my hands. We started dancing along to the music.
Looking back on it now, we were obviously more tipsy than we thought.
We finished the dance by sitting down on the end of the bed. I had my arm wrapped around her waist and she rested her head on my shoulder.
"I'm so happy that Craig didn't see that dance. That's probably the worst we've ever done it!" Dianne laughed.
"Hey! I put all my effort into that!" I told her as I started laughing. She sat up and looked up at me.
"I really love you, Joe. I'm so thankful that I met you." She grinned.
"I really love you and I'm so thankful that I met you too. These past 3 or 4 months have been the happiest months that I have experienced in a long time and that's because they've been with you."
"Aw you're so cute." She smiled softly and stroked my cheek with her thumb. I relaxed and leant in to kiss her. She kissed me softly and we both relaxed into the kiss. She stopped kissing me and rested her forehead on mine. "Can we get ready for bed, then you can kiss me all you want?"
"Of course, Di." I smiled. She smiled back and started searching for her pyjamas. I grabbed mine and went into the bathroom.
After brushing my teeth in there and changing my trousers, I came out of the bathroom whilst starting to pull on my T-shirt.
"Joe?" She smiled from under the blanket of my bed. I looked up and smiled to her as I pulled the shirt over my head. "Do you usually wear a T-shirt in bed?"
"Not really. But cos you're here, I wear it."
"You don't need to wear it if you don't want to. I've seen you with your T-shirt off so many times." She chuckled softly.
"Are you saying that for my benefit or yours?" I laughed.
"Bit of both..." she giggled.
"Ah okay." I smiled as I took it off. I climbed into bed beside her and wrapped my arms around her to pull her close.
"You're so warm and cuddly. It's lovely." She giggled softly.
"I've got to be warm and cuddly to keep you warm and safe. You're like my prize possession. Except you're not a possession... you know what I mean." I chuckled. She laughed and kissed my cheek.
I smiled and kissed her softly but passionately. She deepened the kiss by placing her hands on my cheeks. I kept kissing her and we were eventually making out.
She moved from laying on her side to laying her back meaning that I was now leaning over her. I made sure not to squash her which I was really worried about.
We kept making out and she pulled me closer so our bodies were together. I stopped kissing her and started kissing her neck, I could hear her panting as I did it. I felt her fingers run through my hair as I kissed her neck.
"That feels nice, Joe. Just please don't leave a mark. I hate to think what people would say." She mumbled. I sat back and looked at her.
"Hey... it doesn't matter what other people think. Me and you, we are a team now. We can conquer the world without any cares." I told her.
Once again, looking back, the alcohol had quite an effect on me.
"But I won't leave any marks on you. Not if you don't want me to." I told her seriously.
"Thank you, Joe." She snuggled close to me and I led back down beside. "What a day it's been." She sighed.
"I know, it's been a long ol' day. It feels like years ago that we left this hotel room." I smiled down to her. She snuggled close to me as I led down and started to relax. She rested her head on me and started kissing my chest. "What are you doing?"
"Just kissing you. Because I love you so much." She said between kisses. I smiled and pressed my lips to the top of her head. I started running my fingers through her hair.
"I love you so much too." I smiled down to her. I felt her relax against me and she started falling asleep. I kissed the top of her head again then relaxed more.
"Joe?" I heard her mumble. I looked down to her and hummed in response. "What if next year, we drift apart because I get a new dance partner? What if the same thing that happened to me and Anthony happens to me and you?"
"That's a year away yet. We have no idea what the next year has in store for us. Anyway, how could you forget about me?" I said as I posed slightly.
"You're right. I could never forget about you. You're so cute and perfect." She grinned as she kissed me. I chuckled once she sat back.
"Cute? Maybe. Perfect? No. Not by a long shot, Di."
"Oi, yeah you are!" She chuckled. I rolled my eyes playfully and held her close.
"As long as you don't forget about me, I'm sure me and you will be absolutely fine." I reassured her. She nodded and kissed my chest. I relaxed and stroked her hair as we both fell asleep.
