We had gotten into the car and Joe started driving to the place where we were staying with Zoe and Alfie. I plugged my phone in and started playing my Strictly playlist. It was all of the songs we had danced to.

Youngblood came on and we were both singing along loudly. I started videoing him as he was singing. Luckily, he hadn't noticed me videoing.

Once we stopped in traffic, he reached over and held my hand. He lifted my hand and kissed it. I turned my hand and cupped his cheek. I leant over and kissed him.

"I love you, Joe." I smiled softly. I saw him smiling.

"I love you too, Di." He told me. I smiled more and kissed him again. He sat back and kept driving. He kept holding my hand as he drove, only letting go to change the gears.

"How long have we been driving? It feels like forever..." I groaned.

"Nearly two hours. We've got like half an hour left."

"Ah right. How long ago did Zoe and Alfie leave?"

"I think it was about an hour ago. So we'll be there for about an hour before they arrive. And it's booked under Sugg so either of us can check in." He told me.

I lifted his hand and kissed it. Then I let go of his hand to quickly do something on my phone. He placed his hand on my thigh which made me freeze. I didn't know what to do. I looked over to him and tensed slightly. He hadn't noticed until I tensed. He looked over and saw me so moved his hand away straightaway.

"Sorry. I... I don't know why I did that." He mumbled as pulled over and turned to me.

"No. It's okay. I'm not mad, I just didn't expect it."

"Oh. So... you don't mind me being more intimate with you?" He asked nervously.

"Of course I don't mind. I've been hoping for us to do get closer in that way." I chuckled softly. He leant over and kissed me before resting his forehead against mine.

"Remember I said we were gonna be there for an hour before Zoe and Alfie get there?" He smiled softly.

"Yes..." I replied and smiled more.

"Fancy seeing what we can do in an hour?" Joe chuckled.

"Sure. I can't wait." I grinned.

"Okay. That means I need to stop at the next service station to get some stuff." He told me.

"Alright." I giggled as he reached over again and placed his hand back on my thigh. He pulled back onto the road and drove down the motorway. "You're going a lot faster than you were before. Please don't kill us, Joe."

"I'm going at the speed limit. I'm just excited." He chuckled as he slowed the car down a bit and then pulled off the next junction.

He drove into the service station and parked up.

"You coming in or do you want me to grab anything for you?" He asked as he opened his door and got out.

"I'll come in with you." I smiled as I got out and followed him inside. "Meet you here when we're done?"

"Okay." He smiled to me as he walked to one of the shops. I walked to a shop opposite and walked down the first aisle.

I picked up some fruit and nut mixes which I knew we both liked. I grabbed some boxes of chocolates and a couple of bottles of wine for later tonight.
