"Ugh." Adara groaned, "I hate when classes make us do this."

"I think it's a good idea." Nikki chirped back, "It helps us all to get to know each other."

The large group was forcing their way through the thick forest that lay behind the school. Mr. Aizawa had explained they would be going to a secluded area where they would all show off their quirks to each other. The dark teacher glided through the trees, leading his students deeper and deeper into the woods, leaving them to push branches and thorns out of their way to keep up. They had been walking for nearly an hour and all the students were already sweating profusely in their brand new costumes.

"I can't wait to see everyone's quirk!...oh but I'm also nervous-but mostly excited. How are you feeling?" Nikki chirped, turning to Adara.

"How are you so energetic?" Adara responded, ignoring her last question. "It's hot as heck out here and it's not even noon yet."

The other was silent for a moment, as if deep in thought before looking at Adara curiously. "Why are you complaining? Isn't this good for you? You can just absorb the heat."

"Yeah.. I guess. But I can't absorb too much or I'll burn myself."

"Oh." Nikki blinked as they continued tracking through the woods. She glanced behind the group to see the charred grass Adara's feet had left imprinted into the earth, smoke rising from the small brown masses. She exhaled slightly with a nervous twitch, then turned back to continue the hike.

Meanwhile, Hiroki Jii pushed his way up front to the professor.

"Sir, if I must, where are we going?" He questioned, a twinge of annoyance in his voice.

"Somewhere where we won't blow up the school." Mr. Aizawa answered, his gaze not faltering from the path.

Hiroki groaned as he forced another branch out of his way to keep up with the teacher. "Isn't this far enough?"

Mr. Aizawa glanced to the side, his dark eyes meeting Hiroki's icy blue ones. He was silent for a moment as they continued to walk, before stopping abruptly, his eyes staying on Hiroki as the class crashed into one another, students stumbling every which way.

"Yes." He said quietly to Hiroki before raising his voice for the whole class to hear, "We're here. I want everyone to line up against that rock wall over there." The class, relieved to have finally made it, gladly lined up against the wall.

"This place is really pretty." Nikki observed. There was a huge rocky slope leading down onto a flat marble surface, next to which a river ran to the other side of the rocky hill they stood against. The trees they had emerged from lined the huge area.

"Ok, I'm going to call you up one at a time and you're going to show the class what your quirk is. If you need a training dummy to practice your work on just let me know." Mr Aizawa motioned for the first person to come up, which, of course, was Hiroki.

He smirked as he waltzed up in front of everyone, his slick grey hair and icy blue gaze practically glowing in the river.

Without a word, he closed his eyes and held his left hand out, palm down. At once, the earth beneath him rumbled, causing the class to stumble around as huge chunks of earth flew into the air above the boy.

The rocks spun around and clumped together against the clear blue sky, blocking out the sun. The damp smell of dirt and soil filled the air as the students basked in the cool shadows that covered them. Then Hiroki spread his hands, and the rocks flew apart, following their movements and flying back into their places in the earth. The group 'oo'ed as the rocks were set perfectly in their places, leaving nothing but a few clean cracks in the marble ground.

Hiroki exhaled and cracked his knuckles with a triumphant grin before waltzing back to his place against the wall.

Adara crossed her arms and leaned against the rocky wall, a bit of steam escaping from her nostrils with a puff as the next student was called up to show their quirk.
