...
Pyrrhia, a world of seemingly endless violence. War after war, the land was inhabited by rather aggressive creatures. Whether it was about a throne that affected one tribe, or a simple misunderstanding, other tribes were dragged into wars that not many wanted to join to begin with.
As a new war began- this one about a royal feud between SkyWings and SeaWings that turned into an all-tribe war- not many had any hope to turn to. Sky and Sea were ruthless, using animus magic and dirty tactics to keep the war roaring and alive.
They were unstoppable.Until a new queen- a RainWing, of all dragons- appeared.
RainWings, after joining forces with NightWings, were accepted as a tribe as time went on. As the RainWings and NightWings continued to live in harmony, and partake in more battles, one RainWing decided that enough was enough.
Not many RainWings helped her- most were still very pacifistic and didn't want to get involved in any unnecessary drama- but many NightWings supported her cause and helped her plan.
She and a duo of trained NightWings would sneak into palaces, and negotiate with the queens.
They used threats, charms, anything to get what they wanted. But their one rule was to not hurt anybody- no matter what said threats might've been.
The tactics changed depending on who they were talking to. There was a mind-reader and a seer to help decide what to do.
Some queens, who took the threats seriously- like Queen Hatiora of the SandWings and Queen Caiman of the MudWings- handed their power down to save their own scales.
Others, like Queen Aufeis of the IceWings, were more easily bribed. The SeaWings had removed the Great Ice Cliff with their magic force, and while it was freezing, the NightWings kept themselves and the RainWing warm with fire as they used blow darts to knock out dragons and make it to the queen.
They told her that they could have the NightWings provide safety to her tribe if she handed over power- leaving her with little choice. Hand over power for safety, or don't and risk losing the whole tribe.
With the SandWings, MudWings, and IceWings under her wings, the RainWing went back home to challenge the current queen- another RainWing called Queen Tayra. Tayra and the RainWing did a challenge- a camouflage challenge- and the RainWing won power over her home tribes.
Now, with five out of seven tribes under her control, the RainWing moved onto the SkyWings. Using a few... unknown tactics, she gained control of the SkyWings, too.
The SeaWing queen was almost never seen. She was underwater every moment, using her animus son to carry out duties.
It was fate, or maybe just luck, that brought him out.
The RainWing was out finding food near the shore, when she found him. She was disguised as a SeaWing, knowing she could easily pass off as a hybrid, and only recognized him as royalty based off of his wing markings.
He instantly ran to the RainWing, a frantic look in his eye. He was running. Trying to get away. The RainWing calmly explained her cause- maybe he could get the word to the queen, and the prince laughed.
"You think you can scare or bribe that eel into handing over power?"
The RainWing tilted her head- she was aware that that 'eel' was his mother. She was also aware this 'eel' was not an animus. She questioned why he didn't just knock her down, as he had magic.
He was silent, before speaking.
"She made me enchant her to not be affected by my magic."
He had a look in his eye- probably the verge of insanity. He looked tired yet energetic, two feelings clashing around him as he desperately tried to force it down.
He looked to the RainWing, then grabbed her shoulder, roaring out.The RainWing felt something within her, a slight jolt in her claws. She hissed, her fangs bared in self-defense, but the prince had let go.
"But now you can stop her."
...
After a few months of figuring out her new power, the RainWing had created a single palace in the center of Pyrrhia, to rule.
Her rule had created an immense peace, any sort of violence was cracked down on and forced down. She talon-picked the next ruler, her own son, and as she grew old she saw how her child helped keep the peace. Some say she and her two NightWing friends are still alive, enchanted to live forever so they could watch their home blossom into a beautiful sanctuary.
Their names are unknown, but who knows?
The tales say once you see them, you feel it in your very soul that they saved this land.
