The sun was warm on his skin, shining high in the sky. Despite, Jimin couldn't find it in him to smile. Mindless and listless, he slowly made his way down to the park. Strangers and random passerby glanced at him as he approached. Perhaps it was the tear tracks or the bruises littering his skin. Perhaps it was the unknown man following mere steps behind, calling his name.

Slowly but surely, on shaky legs, Jimin arrives at the park. The unknown man catches up. He harshly grasps Jimin's shoulder, forcing him to turn around.

"Jimin, how dare you run from me!" The man is livid, spittle flying. Jimin flinches back from the volume.

"I wasn't running." He replies, voice small and timid. Despite standing in front of parents and children, the man harshly slaps him before turning on his heel and marching away.

Humiliated and terrified, Jimin takes off running. He doesn't dare look at the people surrounding him. He runs deeper into the woods. After some time, Jimin collapses from sheer exhaustion. He looks up into the sky—the sun is still there, but this time he smiles. He knows he is lost but can't find it in him to care. Absentmindedly, he runs gentle fingers over the reddening mark on his cheek. He's surprised when his fingers come back shining with tears. When had he started crying?

Jimin curls up on the cold ground, tired and alone. His lashes flutter as sleep slowly takes him. He can't wait for night to come.

"How could you do this to me, Jimin!" He screams. Another object goes flying, crashing into the opposite wall. "You humiliated me in so many people."

Jimin cowers from his rage. Tears are running down his face as he struggles to breathe. "I'm sorry." His apology goes unnoticed. He closes his eyes, trying to picture large doe eyes and a cute bunny smile. Before the picture can form, the man yanks Jimin up roughly.

"Are you even listening to me?! God, you are always so disobedient. I should teach you a lesson." The man is red in the face, all his fury and rage boiling over at this moment. "Do you know how humiliating it is to have someone tell you that your husband is fucking another man behind your back in front of everyone? Why didn't you tell me? God, why didn't you tell me? Why did you do this to me?"

"I'm sorry." The man's anger flares as he rounds on him.

"You're sorry? You're sorry?!" He shouts. "I'll show you how sorry you're gonna be. C'mere, you whore."

Terrified, Jimin bolts for the door. He fumbles with the lock in his distressed state. The man pins him to the door. Jimin lets out a pitiful whimper.

The man leans down, breath warm in his ear. "You're all mine tonight."

Jimin startles awake. The woods are bathed in a warm orange glow as the sun begins to set. Jimin leaps up unable to contain his excitement. He takes off running. He runs into a clearing, a cliff looks off into the distance. The breeze is calm and soothing against his face, soft and gentle. Muted oranges, yellows and pinks dot the sky as the sun peeks out over the horizon. Jimin's never felt so happy. Strong arms circle around his waist pulling him into a sturdy body. Jimin's eyes flutter closed, he leans back feeling safe and secure.

"Jungkook." He turns around, coming face to face with those beautiful doe eyes and the endearing bunny smile that has invaded his dreams for the past weeks.

"Hey, love." Jungkook says softly. He leans forward, gently cupping Jimin's face, lightly kissing his lips. He says nothing as he takes note of all the bruises scattered across Jimin's body. He places featherlight kisses on the reddened skin of his cheeks and the deep bruises covering his wrists and throat.

They sit together in silence, their legs dangling over the cliff's edge. The stars twinkle above and the moon shines brightly. As the sun begins to rise, the achingly familiar sadness sets in. Jimin looks over at Jungkook. His heart swells as he takes in the sight before him. Jungkook looks ethereal with the sun rising behind him. Jungkook turns to him, smile soft—albeit sad. Jimin leans forward pressing their lips together. The kiss tastes salty.

"Hey, no tears." Jungkook says, running a soft hand over Jimin's cheek. Jimin can barely feel his touch. He lets out a watery laugh, shaking his head. Jungkook presses one last kiss to Jimin's lips before he disappears. Jimin lets out a choked sound, his hand coming up to run over his lips.

He's all alone again.

I got the title from a Drarry fanfiction.

Also, in case you couldn't tell, Jungkook is dead—hence why he "disappears" when the sun comes up. He's a ghost/spirit and he comes back rarely and always at night. Ah, how I love depressing love stories.

Thanks for reading!
