Chapter 13

Asher's POV

Something's wrong with Magic but i don't know what!. Ever since i saw her crying in the halls,she has just been off. She doesn't smile anymore.
She doesn't laugh at Anthony and Jason bickering,worst of all she doesn't have that glow in her eyes. 

"Hey cupcake,you okay?" Jason asked.
"Yeah,just missing Camila' she lied.
"I don't buy it." Anthony said taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Yeah,you know you can tell us anything. Right?" Jason said trying to get her to say the truth.
"Anything at all. But if its about your period,keep it to yourself" Anthony said earning him a slap from Jason.
"Ouch!, What was that for?!" He asked rubbing his head.
"For being stupid!" Jason snapped.
"I have to go, see you guys later" she said and left.
"Yo! Asher, you need to find out what's up with her" Jason said.
"I really need to" I sighed.

I caught her by her locker lost in thoughts. What could she be thinking about.
"Hey, are you OK?"  I asked
"Yeah, I'm fine just missing dad" she lied. Why can't just tell the truth! I know she's not telling me the truth but I'm  going to play along.

"OK how 'bout we go out for ice cream later today?"
"Thanks Asher. Your the best" she smiles. Finally for the first time in weeks she's smiling.

Magic's POV

I hate having to lie to Asher but I don't have a choice, James says if I tell anyone that his my stalker, they would be dead. The worst part is that I don't ever see him but I know his there. He literally put a knife in my throat and said that I shouldn't tell anyone. Yes I have magic but mom says I can't use my magic outside training for some reason I can't remember because I was too mad to listen to her.

I  walked into the ice cream parlour and saw Asher sitting down and laughing with him. James.

"Hey, Magic's here" Asher said giving me a kiss on my cheeks.
"Hey,Magic nice to meet you" James said like he has never met me before.
I flashed a fake smile and sat down beside Asher.

"So babe, this is James my cousin. His in your history class right?"
"I don't know, I don't pay attention in history" I said.
"I'll go get our ice cream and leave you two to get to know each other" Asher said and walked away.
No please don't leave me with this monster!.

"So babe" the monster began
"Please leave me alone! What do want from me!" I begged .
He smiled and put his hand over mine which I pulled away immediately.
"I want you, he doesn't deserve you. I do. I love you Magic".
"Love me? If you love me, then you would let me be happy. I thought he was your cousin"
"Oh please" he laughed.
"I hate him. I hate all of them. His parents don't even treat us like family. My dad died because of his selfish parents" he said and balled his fist.

"Alright I'm back!"Asher announced .
James smiled and took his ice cream.
I really need to leave this place it's getting uncomfortable.
"I should get going, I promised to help mom" I said getting up.
"But you just got here!" Asher complained.
"I know but mom..."
"OK fine see you later then" he sighed in defeat.

I walked to my car and as I opened the door, my phone rang the caller id said James.
How is he calling I just left them like five seconds ago. I ignored the call and began driving home. He called three more and then sent a text.

I've called you three times and you don't want to pick. Alright then I just wanted to remind that I love you.
Monster.

I rolled my eyes and continued driving. Then another text came in.

Don't roll your eyes baby girl its the truth
Monster.

How on earth did he see that!.

I got home rushed to my room, grabbed a pillow and screamed into it.
"My life is over"I said into the pillow.

"Hey honey, you okay?" Mom voice booms through the room.
Hmm let's see, I have a huge battle with some evil force, I have a stalker who happens to be my boyfriend's cousin! So no am not okay? .
I yell inside  my head so no one can hear it but me.

"Yeah mom just had a rough day" I lie.
She may already know what happening but if she doesn't, I don't want to bother her.

I woke early today feeling unusually happy. Ever since James came into my life, i didn't have any joy. But today I was really happy.
I had a nice bath. I slipped into my black skirt and a red shirt, tucked in. Grabbed a pair of flats and went down for breakfast.

"Someone's happy today!"James said and there and then all the joy I was feeling turned to sadness and bitterness.

"What do want James?"I asked coldly.
"Walk with me" he said.
Walk with me? Why would I do that?!.

  "C'mon!" he dragged into the storage  room.
"Let me go! You monster!" I say and free myself from his hold. He pushes into the room and I hit my body against the wall. Ouch!.

He walked closer to me and put his hands on the wall. His form towering over me. I tried to move but he pushed me back.

"Let me go you monster!" I yelled.
He let's out and evil laugh
"Don't ever call me that!" he threatens.
"Why don't you love me? I love you and I want us to be together." He smiles. Before I could provide him with an answer, he brings his lips next to mine and begins kissing me.
I tried to shove him away but he is to strong. I finally punched me in the stomach and he let's out a cry of pain.
"I hate you! The mere sight of you sickens me!" I say and run out to the hallways.

  As I walked through the hallways, I couldn't stop myself from crying. I felt really dirty.  I've been avoiding Asher since today. I can't let him see me, I can't look him in the eyes and not cry. I betrayed him, I let James kiss me. I cheated on him.

"No you didn't" Lisa tells me.
Lisa is my subconscious mind . I recently named her though.

"Yes I did Lisa, I let that monster kiss me"

"You know what am done trying to convince you! Do want you want to" Lisa replied
