Chapter 1

"Wake up Magic we are here". Mum said tapping me lightly. This is my greatest nightmare coming  true. How did  she expect me to cope in the human world.
 

Oh before I forget am Magic Carter, I know strange name. Funny story am a witch yeah I know what they say about witches aren't supposed to be real but they are and here we are. My dad just died in a battle with the darkness,its an evil force that was out to get him,now me. Its a touchy  subject and so let's not go into it. Well time to see my new home.
   

   I walked through the front door and sighted the sitting room its big I guess, big enough for say four people . The kitchen is big I don't really care so I moved up stairs,mum said my room was the first on the right. I walked in and I have to say its not that bad. The walls are purple and white just like I  asked mom to paint it. The bed looks really comfy there's a lot of pillows,beside my bed is a reading table where I might be doing my homework or something. On the under side of my bed is a little table with a night light so I put down a framed picture of my dad and I. The resemblance is quite clear the sky blue eyes and full eyebrows the only difference is that his blond and am  a red head like mum. On another side is the closet, it's big. 

" Magic ! dinner's ready", how did she get dinner ready so fast maybe she ordered pizza. "Be down in a minute".

  After  pizza I went up to my room to take a quick shower and get ready for tomorrow. I really am not thrilled about this moving but mum said I'll be fine but I won't take her word for it. I hop into the bath tub and use my strawberry shower gel. After a quick bath,I put on my pajama the one with the flower prints all over, picked out an outfit for tomorrow and got comfy in my bed. I was right the bed was comfy.

************************************ I got out of bed extra early and got ready for the horrible day that awaits me in human school where there's no magic, like how do they live?. Mom dropped me off in front of the school so she could go to work.

I walked into the school and I  could feel all eyes on me. I'm the shy type but I gathered the courage to ask for directions to the principal's office . The office was a bit small but OK I guess.

"Come in miss..Carter?"  he asked not sure if he got it . "Yes" I smiled. "Here's your class schedule,off you go now" he said showing me the door. Rude much?.I left the office and walked into the hall to find my locker. It took me few minutes to find it but luckily I did and unpacked my things and hid my wand. Yes I have a wand, deal with it. I hid it in my locker hopefully no one saw me,I close my locker and off to class . I look at my class schedule and I have maths. Great!  just my luck now to find the way to my class I look around but every one's attention is on a group of girls. By the looks of things, they run the school. The  one in front is blonde and am guessing is the leader of this group, the second one is a redhead like me and the last has dark brown hair. I look away and try to ask for directions but the Blondie walks up to me. What did I do? Am just trying to find my class. Magic! Calm down she won't bite, hopefully.
  
"Name!" Blondie spat
"Magic Carter" I replied smiling nervously. I'm not gonna lie am scared don't know why but I am. I feel like she hates me already.
"That's a strange name"she said "You're pretty, I hate it!"she  spat and left. I got stares from almost everyone in the hall. OK I really want to go back home I don't like it here.
  

I managed to find the maths class thank goodness. I felt really uncomfortable, so during lunch when everyone was in the cafeteria,I used my magic to talk to some of my witch friends back home. Luckily school ran fast and mum came early to pick me up.

"So how was school today"mum asked trying to start up a conversation. She seemed happy maybe she had a great day at work. "Horrible, i'm not going back there" I said bitterly. "Am sure its not that bad". she said trying to reassure me. "It is mom everyone hates me and this girl, Chloe I think, she hates me". Mom just sighed and continued driving. Clearly I had won this round but I know this matter isn't over yet.

Once we got home I ran upstairs to my room and buried my face in the pillows. I wish we didn't have to move, sure the darkness is after me and all but I can handle it. Mom's just scared of losing me like she  lost dad. There was a knock on the door and mum came in and sat on my bed.

"Am sorry baby but its for your own good. I can't loose you too, I bet tomorrow will be better. Come here" she said pulling me into a tight loving hug. "I love you mum" I mumbled. "I love you too baby". After that ,she left to make dinner and I had homework to do. All this human subjects were different but luckily am a fast learner so I think I got this. After an hour, dinner was ready and I rushed down. I was really hungry and so I ate really fast and rushed back up,took a nice,long bath and got into my pajama and off I went to dream land.
