Back to the Evidence - Day 28

John 20:25-29 " The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe...then came Jesus..and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith He to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." 

They should have had more than enough evidence to believe in the Lord and yet Thomas still doubted. But Jesus was more than happy to let him feel His scars so He would never doubt again and that he would truly believe. The Lord has done the same for us by giving us His Word, the Bible. And by giving us His Spirit. We have manuscript evidence..prophetical evidence..archaeological evidence..historical evidence..and even scientific evidence. Way before we knew the earth was round the Bible described it as a circle. The Bible teaches there is life in the blood. And this is something we have only found out in the last few hundred years. And so much more. God's signature is all over the Bible. He is truth and that is what He wanted to show us. It's the whole reason for inspiring His Word in the first place. Just like Jesus proved Himself to Thomas..He proves Himself to us. What a God He is!

A praise and a prayer.. I love You Lord for proving Yourself to us. I pray many would look into the evidence and come to have that faith in You that is anything but blind. Thank you once again...FOR ALL THE EVIDENCE.
