2 Timothy 1:10 " Jesus Christ... hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."
Did you catch that?? We get our immortality through the gospel. Without faith in Jesus we will be completely burned up and destroyed. Dust to dust. Ashes to ashes. That is why the book of Revelation uses metaphors like hell and fire. The lake of fire is described as the second death. It is the final and permanent death for those who reject Christ. Like Scriptures says "the wages of sin is death". Now Jesus paid for those sins but we must accept that payment. If not, we die. It is just that simple.
A praise and a prayer. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for our sins. We don't have to perish. We don't have to be destroyed. All because of Your sacrifice. I pray that many would turn to You and accept Your wonderful news..which is the gospel. Because it is through faith in Your Son that we become...IMMORTAL.
