This chapter is sad, and kinda short so beware if you are a sappy person, I almost cried writing it! But I am a sap.

I dedicate this chapter to NeonVolts!

For this I recommend listening to the soft "Sword Art Online" soundtrack.

Lucy's POV

"You are ready." Eleanor's voice stopped me mid training, I looked back at her in shock.

"W-What do you mean?" I asked, not wanting the answer.

"You have mastered all that I can teach you. My work here is done." She bowed her head.

My eyes contracted in pain. No, she couldnt leave! Not after we had just met, she was only here five days! That was not enough time! I ran to her snout and hugged her, having no intention of letting go.

"No, I wont let you leave. You cant leave!" I sobbed into her muzzle.

"Be calm my child, I will not die. I just can not stay." She hummed.

"Then take me with you!" I squeezed her harder.

"I must go, it is against the law."

"Screw the laws, screw this messed up world we live in. I dont want you to leave." I screamed more to the air then anything else.

"You are an incredibly fast learner, and strong. Your friends are waiting for you, you must save them. I am the least of your worries."

"I don't care, I just want you to stay..." I whispered.

"I have one last thing for you." She pulled herself out of my grip. "This is my last gift from me to you."

Eleanor blew a steady stream of her glittering water breath onto the ground, when she stopped there was a silver chain lying there. It shined blue instead of yellow in the light and sparkled like the moon. Each loop looked like a scale that lead into another.

"What is it for?" I sniffled.

"This will activate you super senses, the first person to wear it will get those senses. It is dragon made, just like your friends scarf. Keep it with you always."

I turned and picked up the chain, in contact with my skin it snapped itself around my wrist. I admired its simple beauty, when suddenly everything around me changed. My tongue instantly felt my new grown fangs, sharp and pointy. I could hear the ants crawling on the ground, birds flapping their wings high up, smell all the grass, the trees, the water. And Eleanor's sent was ten times stronger! But it was fading, why was it fading?! I turned to see an empty clearing, she was gone.

I fell to my knees, pounding the earth. Curse the odds, why did she have to go! Even though I knew the answer why did it have to be true? Why couldn't she stay here and help me, help me free Natsu, Wendy, Gajeel and everyone else. And even after that, we could go on missions together, we could love together as a real family! In her human form she looked perfectly human, she could run away from the law, they wouldn't realize one dragon slipped through.

"Come back!!!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, crying and shaking I laid down in the spot where we would sleep. The long grass pushed down from her huge body, her amazing sent still lingering in the air. I would not leave that spot, not until she came back.
