Lucy's POV

I woke up to feel warm, it was so nice and calming. I was so cold before but now all that was wiped away to leave this new feeling of pleasant comfort. Cracking my eyes open, the light seeped threw my lids, blinking several times waiting for them to adjust. It was only then I realized why my cold had fled, I was sitting in between Natsu's legs as they sprawled long past my own. His tan arms wrapped around my stomach making my whole back lean against his heater chest. My face flushed a bright color of magenta at this position, but I couldn't move, one because of my wounds were now extremely sore and second a tiny part of me didn't want to. Besides if I suddenly got up I would wake him from his sleep. His head was flopped to the side, eyes closed and breathing was steady and paced. He always looked so cute when he was asleep, so for his and my sake I let him sleep.

Looking over to the tree across from me I noticed the two exceeds huddled together, also trying to keep warm. Happy was hugging Ellie and Ellie was grabbing Happy's tiny arm. It was one of the cutest thing I had ever seen! They looked like they could be brother and sister, like they grew up their whole lives together and never parted. I started to fantasize a whole scenario of what their life would be like, sadly my stories always involve someone to die or a heartbreak somewhere to obviously the story was that they both grew up in Edolas and Happy was taken to Earthland when they were just kids, separated from one another. Now Ellie had come Erthland and been reunites with her long-lost brother. Thats what I am talking about for on-the-spot-ideas! I congratulated myself for mostly no reason.

But unfortunately my movement was noticed and had caused Natsu to reposition himself. He leaned further back against the tree, scooting him self more towards me, making his head prop up against the trunk and me laying on top of his stomach. I was confused at first of what he had done, but then I realized and tried to remove my self, but he still had his arms hooked around me. Then I felt myself falling, but stopped. Natsu had turned on his side, now landing us side my side on the ground like we were cuddling!!! I wanted so badly to threw him off, yet also the same urge to grab him and never let go. Mavis what was wrong with me! It was like I going through some kind of mental transformation! But something I couldn't explain...

"Mmnnn...Luce are you awake?" I heard Natsu's groggy voice as he began to stir.

"Natsu! Sorry I didn't mean to wake you." I apologized as he sat up rubbing the back of his sore neck.

"Nah, its okay."

"Where's Happy?"

I remembered the sight that had been the cause of his slumber disturbance, smiling I pointed to the balls of fur. As Natsu turned his head his eyes widened in shock.

"What are they doing?" He asked.

"Whats it look like? They are cuddling!" I squealed as quietly as possible.

"Its weird..." He mumbled.

"What do you mean weird?! You did it too you know!" I wanted to take back the words that had just flown out of my mouth. Crap!

"Wait, what are you talking about?" His questioning eyes pierced my soul.

"Ah...well, nothing! Never mind its silly!" I waved my hand in front of me trying to get him to forget it. Unfortunately he didn't.

"Luce...?" His voice was stern but still not threatening.

"Well...you s-sorta move around i-in your sleep."

His face froze and the oncoming voice tone was gone, he was all embarrassment now. Why did I have to say that?! I thought. He probably doesn't even like me back, being used to sleeping with Happy he needed something there, it just happened to be me.

"S-Sorry, I didn't mean t-to.." He started.

"Its okay, nothing really happened anyway." I smiled.

His shoulders slacked and face softened, like a mental weight was taken away from his mind.

"Well, we should probably start heading out again." I avoided his gaze as I stood trying to retrieve my bearings. I leaned against the tree, dizzy from standing so suddenly while Natsu woke up Ellie and Happy. They arose as he strode back over to me, a look of concern on his face.

"You still look pale, want me to carry you again?" He asked.

"No, I can walk by myself. Besides you need your strength too."

"Lushie is right." Happy put a paw on his leg. Natsu only nodded and smiled.

"Well what are we waiting for?! Let go, everyone is counting on us!" He grabbed my hand and pulled my forward.

Ellie flew my ear as we ran, I could only laugh. But I didn't really know the cause of this sudden outburst, it wasn't really the right moment for anything to be funny nor were we in any fit to laugh, but I did. It felt so wrong, yet so right both at the same time. Out of place but so good, it seemed I hadn't laughed in so long, it was probably only a few days or less. But to me it was a lifetime.

As we took off threw the never ending forest, we came to a building. It looked run down, like no one had taken care of it in years. The walls were black and the yard was dried and brown, a spiked gate bordered the grounds and a sign was held above the door. It was hanging by one side and was rotting.

"What is this place?!"

Natsu just starred up at the building, a look in his eye that I had never seen before, it was...fear?

"Natsu...?" I puta hand on his shoulder. He looked over to me.

"Its okay, I'm fine. Just a little on edge. Thats all."

Happy landed reassuringly on his head, with a look of concern.

"Hey, its okay buddy! I'm fine!" He smiled brightly, all traces of doubt gone.

Ellie rested on my shoulder, I put my hand up to her and stroked her head. But my other hand was abducted and squeezed tightly. Turning my head I saw Natsu, he still held a smile, this one less confident than the last.

"I am going to admit, I'm nervous but with you here I am happy."

"Well, together we can do anything." My cheeks flushed a light color of a flower.

His smile became more genuine as we walked forward into the trap that was just waiting to be sprung, we knew this trap but we had to do it and were willing to take the chance. Ready to risk everything for the sake of our home and the people in it.
