Jonathan and I sat in the study in Zephyr waiting for Queen Thyra to meet with us.
Jonathan paced up and down the rug.
"Sweetheart, come here and sit down before you wear a hole in the carpet." I said gently reaching for him.
He sighed as he walked over and took my hand. Instead of sitting beside me he crouched in front of me.
"Amya. I will never leave you. I will help you raise our children until the day I die." He looked up into my eyes; years of pain lie behind the brilliant blue eyes looking up at me.
"Jonathan. My love. I have no doubt that you'll be there for us." I moved our hands to rest on my stomach as one of children kicked against his palm.
"See? They think so too." I smiled at him.
"Queen Amya. King Jonathan. You called for me." Queen Thyra said walking in.

Queen Thyra
Jonathan looked at me, took a deep breath, and stood up.
"In roughly September of 1986 you met a man with a knack for magic tricks and got pregnant. On June fifth 1987 you gave birth to twins." He said.
"How do you know that?" She looked between him and me.
"I am one of those twins. Cameron and I do not want anything from you. We found everything we need in the women we found to love. I have been having nightmares every night and I do everything to hide my pain from my wife which isn't fair to her. I just want to tell you that you abandoned us with a violent, depraved man. You left and he beat us mercilessly. To that fact, I don't hate you. I even forgive you. I don't want you anywhere near me, my brother, my wife, my children. There is nothing you can say to change my mind." He said looking right at her.
I watched stunned as Jonathan walked out of the room before I managed to shake myself and begin to follow him.
"Amya." Thyra said grabbing my arm.
Her own guard stepped between us. I, as the pregnant Queen of Timbre, am the one all of the guard is sworn to protect.
"Please. They'll be my grandchildren." She begged.
"It is not my decision. You're his mother, not mine. If you'll excuse me, I need to find my husband.
I found Jonathan sitting outside in the middle of a field.
"If I get down there with you you need to promise to help me up." I said gently walking up behind him.
He chucked hard but nodded.
I managed to get myself sitting next to him leaning my chest against his knees.
"What aren't you telling me, my love?" I asked gently.
"I've never told anyone. Not even Cameron. He'd feel so guilty." He started crying.
I leaned forward to hold my husband as he cried.
I sat back so Jonathan could bury his face in my neck. He was so careful not to put any pressure on my stomach.
"My father would get drunk sometimes and sometimes beating me wasn't enough. He'd touch me and force me to touch him. He'd threaten Cameron if I tried to fight back."
I held my husband as we cried together.
