CHAPTER SIX.
↳ Fake Bestfriend.

Ava quickly puts the key card on my door, to unlock it. Opening the door, she wasn't very happy to see her.
"Sam! I haven't seen you in so long!" she fake's a smile, giving her a hug. She looks at her confused, and then at Stephen.
"I was at the party, silly." she says in that stupid voice, which Ava was pretty sure wasn't her real voice. She licks her lips and laughs nervously.
"Right, right. Yeah. I remember now." She scratches the back of her neck. "Anyway, what are you doing here? Stephen told me you were here, we haven't hung out in like 3 months."
"Yes, I know. And I'm sorry. I've just been sooo busy with that modeling job that I got in the summer." she smiles.
Samantha Hale, a girl with natural beauty and could easily get any modeling gig. She also liked to sleep around with most of the boys that lived in Stephen's frat house. Ava personally never liked her, but I guess you could say they had a very fake best friend relationship. Until she left for Miami for modeling.
"I completely understand. Your passion comes first." she smiles. And thank god she left, but now she's back.
"But, I'm back because I'm on a small break, and I thought I could come back to Tampa to see my best friends." she squeals, hugging Stephen and Ava. Again, thank god it's a small break, Ava thought.
Ava looks at Stephen, him knowing her hatred for her "best friend".
"Now, I made reservations for a dinner at my favorite restaurant in Tampa. It's at 6 and I hope to see you lovebirds there. Bye." she blows a kiss, grabs her purse, and walks out of the apartment. Ava waits a few seconds and quickly turns to Stephen.
"You're kidding me?!" she yells, facing Stephen.
"Listen, Ava-"
"I'm listening, please explain."
"She texted me, saying she was coming back. Yeah, that was 30 minutes ago. And then I was just chilling here, waiting for you to get home, and she showed up at the door. I didn't think she would be here in 10 minutes. I was going to tell you when you got home." he says all in one breath.
Ava puts her head into her hands.
Another reason why she didn't like Sam was because when Stephen and Ava were talking before they got together, she was flirting with him. She also knew him and Ava were getting serious. So, when he rejected her, she hooked up with some boy, and got over it.
But she still broke the code. Don't flirt with your best friend's crush.
"Look, we'll go to the dinner. You hang out with her for a day, and she's gone. Easy." Stephen puts his hands up.
"Easy for you to say, you don't have to spend a whole day with that horrible human being." Ava rolls her eyes, walks to her room, leaving Stephen in the living room.

Ava and Stephen arrive at the restaurant at exactly 6 p.m. in their nicest attire. Ava wore the cute little black dress Stephen gave her for her birthday, with him with a matching black tie.
"You made it!" they hear behind them, only to turn around to see Sam. "Couldn't miss it." Ava smiles, hugging her quickly.
"I hope you don't mind, but I brought a date myself." she smiles, and turns around. Ava and Stephen look past her, and couldn't believe who they saw.
It was Ryan Trahan.
~6 Hours Earlier~
Ryan was leaving his apartment like he did every afternoon for his workout. His airpods were blaring his favorite music, but when he felt a tap on his shoulder, he quickly turned it down.
He was surprised to see a very beautiful blonde staring up at him and smiling widely. He takes out his airpods, stuffing them in his pocket nervously.
"Well hello." the girl smirks at Ryan, looking him up and down.
"Um, hi." he said with a nervous smile. He was confused of why this girl was talking to him outside his apartment door.
"I was on my way to my friend's apartment, but when I saw you I knew I had to say hi." she said, gently touching his arm. Ryan gets the chills, and was memorized with her beauty. He doesn't say anything, making her smile.
"My name is Samantha, people call me Sam. Yours?" she asks.
"Ryan. Ryan Trahan. That's my name." he stutters, rubbing the back of his neck.
She knew what she was doing to this boy, making him nervous.
"Well Ryan Trahan, you caught my eye. Mind if I get your number?" she asks, biting her lip. He quickly nods, giving her his phone to put her number in.
"I'll text you." she winks. He nods, and tells her bye. He walks away, watching her stand and watch him too.
After an hour, she eventually texted the boy, asking him to dinner at 6. Of course, he couldn't pass up this date with a very beautiful girl, so he took up the offer.
~Now~
"Ryan?" Stephen asks, eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh, hey guys." he smiles, putting his arm around Sam.
Ava watches his arm, and feels a sting of jealously. She was bothered by his hand almost on her ass.
"Right Ava?" she hears from Sam, making her look back up.
"What?" she asks, back in reality.
"The pasta here, it's amazing right?" she smiles, tilting her head. Ava watches her eye her down and she just nods yes.
"Well, let's get our table. I'm very hungry." she smiles, taking Ryan's hand, and pulling him to the entrance of the restaurant. Ava watches angrily, but stops when she feels her hand be grabbed.
"You okay?" Stephen asks, squeezing her hand. "Yeah, I'm fine. Let's go." she answered, pulling him along.
