Earlier today...

(Katherine's POV)

Josephine had left early for set, so I was on my own for the first half of the day. That was, until Dylan offered to show me around set.

Dylan was such a sweetheart. He was funny, charming, and I was starting to think I had a small crush on him.

I had my fair share of boyfriends in the past, but most of them never really worked out. My mum always told me it was because my standards were too high. If I would've met Dylan a few years back, I wouldn't have even considered giving him my time with everything going on in my life. But now, I've learned to keep my options open.

He invited me to a cast outing tonight and I happily accepted the offer. When I told Josephine about it, she didn't seem too thrilled and I wondered why. It almost seemed like she didn't want me here anymore.

I met Dylan out front of the trailer. After texting Jo that I'd be out for a bit, we began walking towards the school. "Every scene at the college is filmed here." He said. "The apartment scenes are filmed on a set, and the rest of the scenes have specific locations that they're filmed at. For example, the lake we filmed at is about ten miles up the road from us." He motioned his thumb behind him. "The frat house is filmed at an actual house, as well as Hardin and Tessa's parents' houses."

"This is amazing." I sighed, looking up at the entrance to the school. "What do you guys do around here for fun?"

"Well, sometimes on a hot day we go down to the lake. There's a soccer field behind the school that we've gone to a few times. Uh... we go into town a lot. There are restaurants and clubs there. That's probably where we're going tonight."

"Sounds fun. When I was filming Thirteen Reasons, we would hang out in a lounge in the school. They had a pool table, an air hockey-"

"Oh, we have one of those!" Dylan interrupted me with a smile. He opened the door and gestured for me to enter first.

We walk down a long corridor before reaching a small room with glass windows. Inside, I could see sofas, a vending machine, and several table games. "We don't come in here a lot." He explained. "Especially after Sam almost broke a window with the eight ball."

I looked at him, my eyes widening.

"Don't ask." He laughed.

We slowly walked back down the corridor, the sound of our feet echoed through the empty halls.

"Are you and Jo close?" Dylan asked.

"We've gotten closer as the years have gone on. But we haven't always been."

"Oh..." He said. "Sorry to hear that."

"Yeah, most of it was just competition really. Looking back, I wish I would've paid more attention to her and how she felt. I can imagine it must've been hard for her having to live up to the bar that I set."

"Well, you don't have to worry too much." Dylan smiled. "She's an amazing actress. Just like you..."

I looked away, trying to hide the blush creeping onto my cheeks. It's been a long time since I've felt this way.

He walked me back to the trailer, and I asked him to come in. I turned on some music and sat on the couch. He stood awkwardly in front of me. "Katherine, you're an amazing girl. I'm really happy I've gotten to know you over the past few days."

I smiled up at him before patting the cushion next to me, and he took a seat next to me.

"There's something I have to tell you... it's about Josephine."
