The Omega wolf whimpered as he cowered away from the superior Alpha male in front of him.
"Ugh how come I still have to lower myself down instinctively... I'm 5 years his senior!" He complained in his mind.
His thoughts didn't reflect what his body was doing, though. He slowly began to expose his neck and belly to the younger Alpha. Sweat began to trickle down his temple and neck because of the strain he's put under.
"Let him off, Anzel." A relaxed female voice broke the heavy atmosphere surrounding the two. She stepped up into the Omega's line of vision, only to stop beside the Alpha.
The Omega sighed quietly as the invisible pressure on him was lifted up. If his sister's here then he's saved. For now. He'd make sure to not cross Anzel's paths again next time. The Alpha's just... simply unbearable. Unpredictable as well.
"Kline, get up. Follow me." The female Alpha started to turn away and walk.
"Thank you, Fana." Kline swayed as he tried his best to not stumble in front of Anzel as he passed by him. The brief encounter had actually drained quite a bit of his energy. Who knew that it'd be that tiring just to face an unrelenting Alpha.
Then again, he's only an Omega. Age difference has nothing to do with their hereditary genetics.
One whiff of the Alpha's scent as he passed by Anzel however, made something in his stomach knot. He's perplexed by his body's reaction that one split second as Fana gave him a few kitchen tasks to do alongside her as she prepared to make something for the pack's dinner.
"We're going to cook a mixed style of steaks and ribs tonight. West meets East." Fana talked to him as they head straight to the pack house's kitchen. Her soothing presence and cheerful demeanour made Kline forget about Anzel for a few moments as they started to work.
Every time Fana came back from her biweekly, sometimes longer outside job and travelling, she'd make at least one big dinner project alongside the other werewolves who's tasked in the kitchen. The pack members all loved her for her generosity and cooking tips she brought back from all over the world.
"Ouch!" A sudden pinch to his nose startled Kline out of his daze. He rubbed his now red nose as he peeked at the smirking Fana. Other werewolves who saw their exchange only sniggered at them as they worked on their cooking preparations. "What's that for?"
"Focus, Kline. I need the celery now. You're still only halfway chopping through them." Fana pointed to his chopping board with her own knife.
Kline's face reddened without prompting as he resumed his task.
Three hours later, the Alpha leaders Kris & Maya, Anzel & Fana's parents complimented the dinner & everyone of the kitchen team. They don't live in the pack house, so once a week they would come over to the pack house to have a big dinner with most of the present pack members who lived in or around the pack house.
Anzel however chose to live in the pack house as soon as he reached puberty, so he has been around and taking over his parent's job partially since a couple of years now. Fana was let off the hook because she had readily chose to travel the world ever since she learned how to read and write, even though she's as much a pack leader as her brother was.
Subconsciously thinking about Anzel, Kline couldn't help but seek for the younger man's presence from across the long table. He couldn't fathom why was he so inclined towards the Alpha in his mind. He had never had this kind of fixation on any other male before, let alone a male of the Alpha family, his foster family.
Kline took all his conscious effort to not be close to Anzel ever since the Alpha moved into the pack house to half-lead the whole pack, but it seemed that it'd fail sooner or later, and that made him dread the possibility of associating directly with the Alpha. Anzel would constantly roam around in the pack house or the grounds if he didn't have meetings or outside task with his parents.
It put Kline in an awkward position every time they crossed paths. Kline was very aware that it only affected him & Anzel too from the looks of it, but not the other pack members. As of why, only the Goddess knew. He's a late bloomer, see, so he didn't know much about himself, much less the others.
Unbeknown to both Kline and Anzel, who's stealing the tiniest glances at each other when the other didn't notice, some pairs of eyes were already watching the two from the sideline in secretive amusement. They have plans for these two, as they talked to each other via their personal mind links. Getting these two together would be an interesting experience for the whole pack.
