"i'm off to see jimin, okay hyung?"
"alright, don't be late for dinner though; seokjin made some really good soup tonight."
"alright."the raven haired boy strolled through the busy streets of seoul, passing a familiar cafe. a familiar park. a familiar path. a familiar apartment.
he was listening to an old favourite song as he stuffed his hands into his coat pockets. for october, it sure was cold. lucky he had bought a scarf to keep himself from getting a cold.
"hi jiminnie."
he had stopped inside the graveyard, looking down at a headstone and humming softly as he sat on a bench opposite the pretty white marble.
"happy birthday. i got you some roses." he placed the red flowers beside him on the wooden seat and cleared his throat.
"so today, you're 26. what an old man, huh?" he laughed a bit at his own teasing, leaning back into the bench and sighing softly.
"i miss you. so much. everything about you. i don't know if you can hear me, but at this point, i don't even care. i want you to know that i do."
he fiddled with his fingers, pausing a bit and thinking deeply.
"i love you. i haven't said that in a long time. i love you so much. you told me not to cry, and i haven't cried once now. see? are you proud of me, jiminnie?"
but even as he spoke, his eyes filled with tears. "jiminnie.." he sniffed quietly, wiping his eyes with the back of his sleeve. "anyways... i've met this guy. he's nice. his name's hoseok. works with me at the studio now. i moved in with namjoon and seokjin."
he spoke and spoke. his eyes still filled with tears, his voice trembling. but he was still speaking. and as he spoke and cried, he made jokes. desperately tried to laugh. not for his own sake. but for the boy that to him, had made no mistake in his life.
all the mistakes jimin had made, yoongi adored.
all the mistakes jimin had made, yoongi was missing.
all the mistakes jimin had made weren't mistakes at all.
