The government had decided that they wanted to keep track of faction transfers and who stayed with their original faction. Today was the day that Dauntless transfers were being recorded.

There was a representative from Erudite here who was in charge of recording their information.

"Let's start with Amity, we seem to get the least amount of those successfully pass initiation. We normally get at least one transfer but they rarely make it through initiation." Max said.

A 40 year old looking man covered in ink stood up and walked over to the table.

"Faction of origin?" The Erudite representative asked.

"Amity." The man responded.

"Last name?"

"Baker."

"First name?"

"Beckly."

"Age?"

"39."

"Birthdate?"

"May 14th."

"Thank you, you may sit down."

The man walked back over to where he was sitting.

"That's all?" Max questioned. "Well, let's move on. Abnegation transfers will go next."

Tris stood up and walked over to where the Erudite was sitting, as did Four. A lot of the initiates from the past two years looked at him. They never knew he was Abnegation-born.

The two reached the front table at he same time. Tris gestured to the table, allowing him to go first. Four shook his head and gestured for her to go ahead. Tris silently asked if he was sure in a way that only Stiffs can and Four nodded. The Dauntless watched the exchange in amusement. Once a stiff, always a stiff.

Tris stepped forwards and looked at the Erudite.

"Faction of origin?" The Erudite asked.

"Abnegation." She replied

"Last name?"

"Prior."

"First name?"

"Beatrice."

"Age?"

"16."

"Birthdate?"

Tris paused, "I don't know."

The Erudite raised an eyebrow. "How do you not know your birthday?"

"Because celebrating anything to do with yourself is self indulgent." Tris told him.

"Very well, we have other ways. What are your parents' names?"

"Natalie and Andrew Prior."

The man typed something into his computer. "There are two dates on record for their children who are 16. Which one are you?"

"The younger one."

"Huh, that's interesting."

"What?"

"You were born on choosing day. That makes you the absolute youngest of all initiates. Anyone born after you had to wait until next year." The Erudite said. (I don't care that this is wrong. I thought it would be cool)

Tris thought about that for a moment. "You can go sit down now." The Erudite said.

Four stepped closer to the table.

"Faction of origin?" The Erudite asked.

"Abnegation." Four said.

"Last name."

"That's irrelevant."

The Erudite looked up at him. "We need this information."

"Why?"

"So we can know where all the transfers went."

"But why do you need my last name?"

"So we know who you are."

"I'm Four."

"That's a nickname. We need your real name."

"But I don't want to-"

"Oh for crying out loud!" Tori came over. "I will fill out your form."

Four looked at her and nodded. "Fine."

Tori filled out the name for him. "Happy?"

"Thrilled."

"Okay then, age?"

"18"

"Birthdate?"

"I don't know."

The Erudite sighed. "You too?"

"I was raised in Abnegation. Why would I?"

The Erudite rolled his eyes, "Fine, what's your parent's name?"

"No." Four growled, "Figure it out yourself."

Tori sighed and walked over. "What do I type?"

"Just type in his mother's name there and father's name there, he click births and search."

Tori did so and a date popped up. "February 12th." She told him. "Go sit down, Four."

Four nodded and went back to sit with his friends.

"What was that about?" Zeke asked.

"They were asking me questions I didn't want answered." Four said, stabbing his potato and then eating it.

The day continued on with the other faction transfers going up and giving their information. But everyone kept thinking about Four, and what he could possibly be hiding.
