Chapter Thirty-Seven

CHAPTER 37:

*Time skip- three days later- Today is Kaylin's Make up birthday dinner.*

It's been three days and I still can't figure out what Justin and Mom were talking about. It's getting on my nerves!

Oh and Justin and I haven't kissed or made out since THAT day. We just keep staring at each other. But whenever we are in the same room I just have to suppress the urge to kiss him. I know he has to do the same too.

Sometimes though, I feel as if everything we did that day went to fast. I mean I said I loved him and we kissed for gods sake! What I said was true, I do love him, with every ounce inside of me, but I'm also still mad at him. I want him, but I don't. I NEED him, but its going to fast. I had him, but he left, and now he's back and well......UGH life's confusing!

I was currently on the couch watching 'Keeping up with the Kardashians ', when Justin walked in.

"Hey." I said.

"what are you watching?" he asked. His phone beeped and he started texting like there was no tomorrow.

"Umm, keeping up with the Kar-" I started

"Change it" he said. It wasn't a question, it was like and order. He put his phone back into is sagging jeans. When is this kid EVER gonna pull up his pants. Not that I wanted him to...hehe.

"Yeaaahh, No" I responded.

"Come on Kay, you know I hate these chick dramas." He sat on the opposite end of the couch. That's how bad it was; he actually had to sit on the other side of the couch to keep himself from making a move. I don't know WHY we won't kiss anymore. I mean ya, we are siblings, but still.......

JUSTIN'S P.O.V:

I really hated these chick dramas. And Kay knew it.

"I know you hate them, but this is getting to the good part" Kay said keeping her eyes on the screen.

"But-"

"SHHHHHHHH" she said swatting my arm.

The remote was in her hand. If only I could get it...

I didn't want to touch her tough, because I knew I was gonna kiss her. I just knew it. Ever since the talk with mom, I hadn't kissed her. I was waiting until tonight at 7. Tonight, at the restaurant, when I announce the surprise, I'm gonna kiss her, and NO ONE can stop me from doing so.

But right now, I can't go kissing her because I kinda told mom about the kiss when I came back, and she has been staring at us with open eyes. Sometimes I even think she has cameras around the house. But you see, I had to tell her about the kiss too. If I didn't tell her then mom never would have gotten the surprise ready.

Anyway, I think I have an idea on how to get the remote.

KAYLIN'S P.O.V:

I was just about to listen to the convo kim and her mom were having, when I was distracted. I felt Justin's hand on my hand. The hand with the remote.

I looked at him and he smiled.

I moved the remote to the other side of me and then I felt his hands creep on my shorts.

I looked at him and he was outstretched on the couch reaching for the remote, a smirk on his face.

"Justin, you have got to be kidding right???" I said. I couldn't watch any freaking show without him bothering me.

"Nope"

I finally gave up and gave him the remote.

"Thanks shawty" he said.

He leaned and pecked my cheek. His lips lingered there for a while. I guess he thinking whether or not he should kiss me.

"AHEM," Mom 'cleared' her throat.

Justin quickly moved away. "I was just giving my SISTER a nice BROTHER-LIKE KISS" he said.

I laughed. "Nice save," I whispered. He just smiled at me. He flipped though the channels and stopped at something. Then his phone beeped. AGAIN. How many people text him...like really, I feel like a loner now.

*At the restaurant*

"Happy Birthday dear Kaylin, Happy Birthday to Youuuuuuuuuuuuu" Everyone sang. I looked around at everyone at the table. Justin, Ryan, Elise, Caitlin, Chaz, Mom, Scooter, Usher, Jeremy, Jaz, and Jaxon. One big happy family! I already got all my presents from my friends, mom, Scooter, and Usher, All I needed was Justin's 'Surprise present'. God I really want to know what it is.

"So Kay, now its and official birthday dinner huh??" Scooter asked.

"yup, now everyone is here." I said eyeing Justin. He smirked.

"Kay, uh well Justin needs to tell you something big" Ryan said.

"Yeah something really big." Chaz said.

"Something like huge!" Caitlin smiled.

"Something SUPER HUGE" Elise exclaimed.

"Oh my goodness, just tell me what this super-huge-really-big thing is already people! And I can't believe you guys know about it." I said. Was that way he texting so much today???

"Well," Justin started. He got up from his seat, which was right next to mine. "I only did this because I knew that it was what we wanted, but if you want then mom can take it back..."

"What? " I asked. What in the world was he talking about???

"Mom went to, uh, where ever it is she went, and well, I asked her to do this ok?"

I nodded. Just get to the part already!!

"She undid it." He said.

"Undid whaaat?"

"You're not my sister anymore. And I'm not your brother." He said smiling.

I couldn't believe my ears. He did this!!!! Omg, This is the answer to all of my freaking problems! YESSSSSSS! I started crying, I was so happy.

Me and Justin pulled into a hug and everyone was all smiley.

"Kay, don't cry! we can take it back if you want?" Justin said.

"No, Don't. I love it. You did this?" I laughed.

"Yeah. I did this for us. " he said it like he wasn't sure what I would say. And I didn't say anything. But of course I knew what I was going to do right then and there.

I stood up on my tippy toes, because Justin is like an inch taller than me, and I kissed him. I felt Justin tense a little at first, I guess he didn't expect me to kiss him, but then he relaxed and kissed me back. I felt him place his hands on the small of my back and I put my arms around his neck.

I am carefree right at that moment. I don't care who is watching. Whether it's mom or the paparazzi, I don't care. I just wanted this moment to last a while, to stay in my memory forever. Because this just has to be the best birthday present ever!
