Chapter Twenty-Six

*the next morning*

I quickly pulled away admiring his face. I pecked his cheek and went into the kitchen. I heard a BIG boom from outside and saw it was thunder storming. I picked out a cereal box out of the pantry (captain crunch) got the milk out of the fridge, and mixed them both in a bowl I got off the counter top.

"Good morning" I heard someone say

I looked up: it was Justin. He yawned and stretched his arms out . Then came and put his arms around my waist. I made a small thankful smile. (idk why though...) I turned around only to be closer to him.

"Hello" I said

"Hey" he said.

There was a silence as we stared in to each other eyes, like you would when leaning closer....closer...closer.....CLOSER!..... Then we heard mom coming down the stairs. We pulled apart and I ran to separate sides of the kitchen. Pattie came down and said "I need to talk to you alone for a second Kaylin." she looked serious yet excited....and had a tiny smile on her face. I came into the computer room "take a seat" she said. I sat down quickly.

"Kaylin, you're 16 and you have lived with me for a while now.......and I think It's time for you to become my legal child"

"Umm ok. WAIT WOULD THAT MEAN I WOULD BE JUSTIN'S LEGAL SISTER?!?!?!?!?!"

"Yes and after what happened last night on the couch I think it would hard to stay away from him, if you know what I mean."

"No it won't" I said quickly. Then it dawned on me. "WAIT.....you knew about last night?!" I was screaming at this point in the conversation.

"Yes. Now do you still want to be legal child and Justin's legal sister?"

I was too shocked I didn't know what to say

"I guess."

"Ok then I already signed the paper so I need YOU to sign here." She said as she picked up some papers from the desk.

I was under pressure and did something I shouldn't have. I picked up and pen and signed my name.

Pattie got up. "OK I'll just go turn this in. You stay here" she said. "Ok......." I replied sadly. The door made a big THUNK when she shut it.

Justin sprinted into the room and said "What's this about you being, and I quote, my LEGAL SISTER. Kaylin is this for real?!"
"Yeah" I said sadly. "Mom just left to turn in the papers and get them finalized. So when she gets back I'll officially be your LEAGLE SISTER"

Justin thought for a moment....then he said. "Well then, we better make-out before mom gets home"

I was thinking the same thing. But I said "what?!" like I was totally surprised.

"oh ummm nothing" he answered sheepishly.

Then I leaned in to whisper in his ear "Really? Because that 'nothing' wasn't a bad idea" I said. Then it happened. We started to lock lips and you know, make-out. (I know we have made out a lot but this one might be our LAST one)
Just as it was getting hot, we heard the door open.
"Kaylin??, Justin???" It was Elise. We pulled apart and I bit my lip as we stared at eachother.

"Hey" I said

"Hey" Elise said.

"What's up?" I heard a guys say. It sounded like Ryan.

And after him was Chaz "sup?"

"Umm we just wanted to know if you wanted to hang?" Elise said.

"Sure" we both said instantly

Just then Pattie walked in and I knew the final decision was made. We were now siblings.....
