You regretted your decision as soon as you walked through that door.

The crowd fell silent, their talking and laughing abruptly stopping as you entered the room. You suddenly felt very out of place, which you were, but you just gave a sheepish smile. "H- hi..." you stuttered out. People gave you glares, or cowered, and you tensed. You just moved off to a less crowded part of the party, and let everyone forget about you and continue on. You sighed. Getting back into the good graces of these people was going to be harder than you ever imagined.

"Hello." A voice said to you. You immediately turned around. Wow, someone was actually talking to you in a friendly manner? Fucking shocking. You were face to face with a young woman, slightly shorter than you, but hardly noticable, with brown slightly longer than shoulder length hair and a white and orange shirt. You had to admit, she was beautiful.

"Oh, uh, hello? Do I know you?" You responded, trying to be as polite as possible. She smiled. "My name is Yuri Kozukata. I'm one of the assist trophies. You may have heard of me?" She said. You racked your mind. Yuri Kozukata... Yuri Kozukata... Yuri Kozaka- Fatal Frame 5: Maiden of Black Water. You suddenly remembered what game she was from. "Oh! You're the main character of the latest Fatal Frame game, correct?" You asked. Yuri nodded. You smiled. "Well, its nice to meet you! I'm (Y/N). Though, I'm sure you've heard all about me." You said, ending that sentence rather bitterly. She nodded. "Yes, I... heard about what happened." She said. You sighed. "Have you come here to call me a psychotic bitch too?" You asked. She shook her head. "No, of course not." She said. "I can tell you are a kind person. I know you would never have caused harm on purpose. You didn't mean to hurt him." Your eyes widened a bit with disbelief. Someone might actually believe that it wasn't entirely your fault. "I didn't mean to cause Dark Pit harm but... but try telling that to everyone else. They would never believe me." You sighed. You sat down in a chair, and Yuri sat beside you in another chair. "I know it's hard, being a horror game character. Believe me, I know how you feel." She said. "They didn't like me at first either, but they always come around. It's not what game you're from that counts, its what's on the inside, right?" You stared at Yuri, feeling calm and reassured by her words. You nodded. She smiled at you, and then looked at the time. She stood up. "I'm so sorry, I have to go. I promised Mio and Mayu I'd do some stuff with them." Yuri said, apologetically. "Its fine, you go have fun." You told her. "See you later?" She asked. You nodded. She smiled and waved goodbye before walking out the door. Your smiled faded as she left. And once again, you were alone. Of course you were.

You suddenly felt very thirsty, figures, you can't remember drinking any fluids today. You walked over to a refreshments table and got one of the red solo cups that were provided. You looked at the array of drinks they had. Soda, water, punch, vodka- wait, vodka? There were children here and they were serving vodka? Eh, whatever. You didn't care too much. Nobody would really give a rat's ass if you got shitfaced. Honestly, at the moment, you were hoping to black out. You poured yourself a full solo cup of alcohol. '2 shots of vodka', am I right?

You immediately downed that, it burning as it slid down your throat. You didn't stop there, oh no. You were already in deep, why just stop at one whole ass cup? You drank at least a quarter dozen more before you felt the room sway around and you found yourself hardly able to stand. You had to hold onto the wall to keep yourself up, and honestly you had very little idea of where you were going. The other partiers were far behind you, you knew that. But you could hear familiar voices in a room down the hall. You didn't recognize them immediately, and your drunken curiosity got the best of you. You stumbled down the hall, watching everything vaguely blur around you. One door was open, illuminating the end of the hallway. You assumed that's where the talking was coming from. It was still a bit muffled, but you could hear it clearer now.

"S- She seems so nice but... she hurt him..." one of them said.

"I just don't know, Pit. I... I'm conflicted." The other said.

You decided to look in the door. You could tell that you were the topic of conversation. You yawned and took a few steps forward to silently peek inside.

Pit and Marth stood inside a small guest bedroom, both of them looking concerned. Your heart fluttered at the sight of the blue haired prince. Maybe... you should go talk to him? You were drunk as fuck and would probably say something stupid, but hey, it would at least be effort put forward. Maybe he didn't hate you.

And just like that, your hopes were shattered into billions of pieces.

Marth ran a shaky hand through his hair. "I'm afraid I can't be seen around her. I l-"

"You... you bitch! You lying BITCH!"

Anger and rage all pulsates into that comment. You may be loaded up with vodka, but in this moment you'd never felt more sober. Marth and Pit snapped their heads towards you, and Marth was mortified. "(Y- Y/N)! What are you doing here?!" He yelped in horrified shock. "Oh, I don't know, trying to get back in the good graces of everyone, trying to be a good person, trying to talk to you?!" You yelled. "I guess I'm too much of an embarrassment for the mighty and kind Prince of Altea, aren't I?!"

Marth tried to put a hand on your shoulder. "(Y/N), you're incredibly intoxicated. Please, just lie down and let me explain-" "Get off of me, do not fucking TOUCH ME!"

You harshly smacked his hand away, and he quickly recoiled. "I should have known. You don't want me here. None of you want me here!" You felt tears stream down your face. "Then what's the point of even fucking BEING HERE?" You screamed, and you began to cough. Marth tried to come over to help you, but you shot him a deadly glare, and he backed away. You waited for your coughing fit to get done. You panted, feeling more tired and exhausted than you'd ever had. You looked into his eyes, your vision blurry from the tears and alchohol. Marth looked teary as well. "Please, let me explain..." he pleaded. You shook your head. "There is no explaining that needs to be done. If you want me gone so badly, fine. Your wish is my command."

And with that you raced out of the room and down the hall. Halfway down the hall you tripped, and saw your flower fall out of your hair. You didn't care. You didn't care about anything around you anymore. You just needed to get out.

You pushed past other party guests as you booked it for the door. You could hear Marth screaming and pleading sadly for you to come back, but you payed no mind. It was all pity talk. He didn't care about you. No one did.

Nothing held you down here any longer. What's the point of being here if you weren't even wanted? You knew what you had to do next.

You raced to a tall, locked up building. You looked intently at the lock. You took one of the bobby pins out of your hair and worked on the lock. It quickly gave way and you quietly pushed open the door. Inside was an array of stones, labeled with each game they opened a portal too. Your fingers brushed the glass casing as you looked for your game brand.

Your eyes quickly shot to it, and you looked for a lock on the glass where you could pick the lock and get to it. To your dismay, you found no such lock. You sighed. You didn't want to get your hands bloody, but you supposed you would have to.

Your fists smashed against the glass, and it shattered beneath you. You hissed in pain as shards dug into your flesh, and scarlet liquid trickled down your hands. Only temporary... you thought. Soon I'll be home...

You grabbed the stone eagerly and left the building, rushing outside. You looked up at the night sky. It was beautiful. It was one of the only things you were going to miss. You held the stone up, muttering a few enchantment words before it glowed furiously, and a portal opened up behind you. You grinned warily, feeling your gaze fade. Probably a mixture of blood loss and intoxication.

You looked back. You were leaving it all behind. You shook your head. No time to be sad now. Only time to act. You took a step, and then another, and you entered the portal.

And everything went black around you, just like before.
