If I was to write a book over my life, I could have written volumes and volumes about this damn roller coaster ride. But meh, I am too lazy for that.

"Marissa?" I repeated her words involuntarily as if repeating her name would make me remember who she was. I looked into her insanely attractive deep blue eyes, looking back at mine with a hidden glisten.

"You must be Emily right? Woah you are hot." She winked, making me feel intense insecurity at getting complimented by someone who is surely 100 times prettier than you. I stood frozen on my spot, mouth ajar contrary to her comfortable and relaxed posture.

At the time, I had a thousand questions running across my mind but my tongue and brain refused to function in a coordinated manner.

"I got the cupcakes ready love." My head snapped towards the source of the voice and I squinted my eyes towards Matt who was standing at the kitchen door, eyes wide at me.

A minute went by in silence until Marissa stood up and walked towards Matt, taking the tray of cupcakes from his hand. "Thanks Matthew! You are the best."

Matt passed a straight yet genuine smile towards her before clearing his throat and walked towards me, holding Marissa's hand.

"Can someone care to explain to me what the hell is happening?" I finally managed to spill out something.

"What?"Marissa asked in a perplexed manner. "You haven't told her yet?"

"Well" Matt started, scratching the back of his head. "I guess I have to introduce you two."

"Marissa as you already know this is my sister Emily." She smiled at me as I caught my breath for what was to hit me next , "and Em this is Marissa" He paused for a mere second. "My fiancé."

"WHAT!?" my mouth went agape as if I didn't expect it to happen. Matt passed a silly smile towards me, a slight blush crept his face. "Oh God! Please someone give me a break!"

"I know I should have told you earlier" Matt started reasoning while Marissa stood there fiddling with her feet.

"Earlier?" I interrupted him. "You were supposed to tell me WAY before Matt! Like before you even proposed to her and got engaged. This literally makes no sense! How were you able to keep this big thing from me?" I paced around the house, my hands racking through my hair in frustration which made me even more annoyed because I had tons of knots in my hair.

Matt whispered something in Marissa's ear to which she nodded and went upstairs. He came towards me and took a deep breath. "Oh shut up Emily" I gasped at his ignorant remark. How rude. My mouth stayed closed as Matt continued half ignoring half acknowledging me. "I will let you figure out this one. I mean I know you are going to interrupt me every time I reason with you and won't listen to me. So yell for some time now. I gotta go catch up with my girl. Later Em." He turned towards the stairs with a wink and vanished from my sight. I am disillusioned.

If it was an animated movie, smoke would have been visibly coming out of my nose because now I am fuming with anger. How dare he ignore me? How dare he left me without an explanation? I am so done. I am not going to talk to him ever again. HE BLOODY INSULTED ME! HE BASICALLY CALLED ME ANNOYING. AND WENT TO HIS GIRLFRIEND! I FEEL ABANDONED.

"I AM GONNA KILL YOU MATT" I yelled and turned towards the door, I need to get out of here, I am not ready to face yet another ignorant insult. What is with people and priorities? More likely what is with people ignoring me every time. Do they consider me an illiterate imbecile? I felt the cold air caress my hot cheeks as I stepped outside. Calm down Emily. You are going to get yourself a nice coffee in this chilly weather and everything will be okay. Screw people. Don't let them bother you. You know what Let's-
