Steve's POV

Stupid.

That is the only word which has been going through my mind for the past few weeks.

I AM STUPID.

How stupid it was of me to think that I would ever have the chance with a girl who I have hurt physically and mentally not once, twice but rather multiple times. It was so stupid of me to think that a guy like me could ever change and breakthrough his shitty past history. Even getting to be her friend was a huge miracle but dating her? Nah. After all abnormally high expectations hurt. These things only happen in movies and hopeless fictional books. In reality guys like me remain in their shithole whereas girls like Emily who go through bad stuff meet a super amazing guy and live a happily ever after.

I don't know what story we are living but what I know is that I was never the hero, in fact I was the villain. And I feel I will always be.

"yo mate? You ready?" Nash's voice interrupted my trance of unnerving thoughts.

"yeah I guess." I smiled stiffly as I fixed the bow on my tuxedo. I can't believe its already the day. The most important day in a couple's life.

"AH! He looks so happy, like you can literally see sunshine gleaming through his eyes, its like unicorns are galloping in his heart and his tears of happiness can act as an elixir and-"

"JACK? Is your mind in the right place? What non sense are you sputtering? Have you been binge reading some romance novels" I chuckled as Nash smacked the back of Jack's head.

205 new messages

65 missed calls

I sighed as I glanced at my phone. I really need to bring myself to get rid of the two emoticons. It has been weeks since I talked to Emily, to be more specific, since that incident. And since then, I have been keeping myself busy as much as I can so as to avoid any contact which can possible mess my mind even more. I have been hiding myself during school lunch break and have bunked all my classes with her. The wedding preparations helped to not get more miss calls and messages.

"LET'S GO GUYS" I cringed at the annoying familiar voice. Tyler grinned as he flaunted himself in front of the mirror before turning towards us. "its time tht the groom gets out there. So come on groomsmaids." HE laughed out loud and walked out the groom room. Damn that rhymes though I still want to punch his face.

We all stepped out of the room with the groom ahead of us, who looked as if he had won such a large lottery but I believe the girl is worth more and his grinning face totally shows it.

We took our respective positions and waited for the bride to arrive. I took the time to take in the surroundings. A priest stood beside the groom. There were chairs in front of us and I could see some unfamiliar and familiar faces seated on them.

And then my eyes met hers.

She was looking beautiful than ever. Her hair was tied up in a bun and she was holding a bouquet which was like twice her size. She smiled thoughtlessly and my eyes fixated on her rose pink lips, her cheeks were tinted red and her light pink dress reached her feet. Strands of her hair flawlessly touched her face and-

Details. Dammit Steve since when did you start focusing on details? You barely noticed such things what has happened to you. Also did she dye her hair cause it looks lighter. STOP you dumbass. Also I really like her new nail color. WHAT STOP YOU MANIAC. Also has she been eating less? She seems to have lost a lot of weight. I really want to make her some cupcakes.
