I walked out into the morning air, hoping to get one of the gigantic peaches that grew in my “orchard”. I lived in a tree house with my two brothers, Nico and Miles. Nico was 17, MIles was 21. They both were the victors of their years chosen for the Demigod Games. I was the only Demeter child, meaning I had a definite chance of getting picked. When I say definite I mean I am going to be picked. I’ve been training for the longest time, trying out new tactics, and increasing my powers. I am pretty good with a dagger, but even better with a spear or sword. Lets just hope the Cornucopia has all three. I am fairly small, with long auburn hair and forest green eyes. I have an advantage, being small, so I am able to duck underneath branches.
“Clover? What are you doing?” Nico interrupted my thoughts. I realized that I had been absentmindedly twirling a dagger.
“Umm, narrating a story?” I replied. He laughed. In my house, laughter and jokes are the most important. We all believe it’s what keeps us going every day.
He chuckled as he walked out of my tree, across the rope bridge to his tree, and walked inside.
