She walked out, and I heard the back door shut behind her. She was gone.
How was she being so nonchalant about being dead? So calm. It was unnerving to say the least.
I sat there on the bed thinking until the door opened, showing Peggy who had a baseball bat not so discreetly behind her back.
It made me laugh, and I shook my head at her. "She's already gone, calm down Babe Ruth."
The last part made her look at me like I was crazy which only made me laugh harder. "Peg- Peggy I can't- can't br-breathe," I said, laughing too hard to form a sentence.
Peggy just stood at the door way, and Blake popped up behind her looking at me still laughing.
"Grandma?" He asked her, although still looking at me.
"Hmm?" She responded, still looking at me with that face.
Damn that funny ass face she was making right now. Wasn't it funny? Why was I the only one laughing at it? It was funny, it couldn't not be. I mean just look at how her wrinkles were-
"Is she okay?" Blake asked Peggy, and my laughing slowed as she shook her head no.
"She needs comforting. She doesn't handle loss well, obviously. She needs food and some rest as well." She answered, walking out.
Blake looked at his grandma like she was crazy. "Wait- you want me to try to comfort a girl? Remember who your talking to! I can't-"
Peggy interrupted his stage whispering. "Shut up and sit with the girl will you. It's no wonder you don't and can't keep a girlfriend."
His neck turned red and his ears even redder. Great.
Here we go then.
Blake's p.o.v
How was I supposed to comfort this girl? I didn't know her. All I knew is that she's damn good with a weapon, has a nice ass, her hairs kinda short tho. I wonder if-
"Blake, can I have my face back?" Kiara asked me, I must have been staring.
Idiot.
"U-um yea, sorry. I didn't mean to it just happened. I mean I- you understand?" Welp, grandma's right again.
She just gave me a small smile, and patted the space in front of her on the bed.
"Who is this person and where is zombie-killing Kiara?" I said, trying to make her feel better. Like I said, I'm not good at this.
"She's away at the moment, ladies man." She answered, laughing a little at the end.
I mocked offense. "You did not." I said, putting a hand over my chest and making a funny face.
She smiled. A real, full mouth smile.
"I did too, you moron." Moron? Oh no, it was time to bring out the big guns.
I slowly reached towards her, "Oh really, and just how ticklish are you Kiara?"
She immediately sobered up from her gloating and started to shield herself from me. "No no no no no, none of that, stopppp,"
She tried to tell me to stop as I climbed on top of her and began to tickle her sides merciless. She was out of breath, and trying to push me off.
